road warriors

Married for a little while longer, they meet at an intersection, a hotel they have in common.

After their tryst he misses her, not his wife. She doesn't remember his name.

I'm struggling to understand why this is in Romance.

EXCELLENT STORY

This is a great story! Poignant and realistic. Every time this author publishes, I'm impressed with the talent displayed.

A Story that just Flowed

It is a bit of a coincidence that we have two well married people whose marriages are falling apart at the same time, but it could happen. Especially in their line of work. Some how I could put myself in their minds and let the story flow and the romance evolve. I don't understand the comment which asked why this was in the Romance Category. Where else would you put it? The nice part of the ending is that it didn't really end, but left it to the reader to fill in the blanks. I don't necessarily need or want another chapter, but I'll supply the rest. 5*

I like it!

I can see why this is "Romance". It could conceivably be in "Erotic Couplings" but that would ignore the tragedy, pathos, and sense of longing and missed opportunity - and, yes, the romance!! I shall investigate more of your stories!

Perfect writing

Wonderful, sassy, romantic, dead sexy... great characters, great set-up, great story beautifully told. Worst I can say is, needs more tags so more people read it.

Thanks for addressing so sensitively the issue of lady parts. WOMEN, YOUR LABIA ARE FINE HOWEVER THEY LOOK sorry had to say it.

6 stars.

Not my definition of Romance

You suckered me in with the opening paragraph. But then you told a story of two cheating spouses. I'll take my Romances witbout the cheating thank you. It makes no difference that their marriages weren't working. They just made those marriages worse by their infidelity. Sorry that's not romantic. If your marriage isnt working out then leave it and end it before seeking a new love. Or seeking a one night stand.

Please don't put this type of scene in Romance.

Enjoyed it tremendously

Hoping for more. (And yes, I found it romantic ... never mind the smut-site moralists who find something to object to in everything, on their good days. Place your stories where you wish. We'll all cope. Well, the grown-ups will ...)

Just Julie

Nice enough tale. Could be Romance, could be many things.

Could have better spelling. There are times when I think you're pretending to be English and it's a poor imitation.

Buss and lacey spring to mind.

Prufreading

I am amused by the trying to be English comment. Occasionally my charters will sound Texan, or West Coast in my head and Julie has a hint of frozen tundra in my mind but I’ve never pretended or even attempted an English accent I don’t think. I don’t have enough exposure to it. As far as spelling, I’ve mentioned my process before. I write in a fury watching it happen. It’s isually a little out of my control. Julie part 2 went off on its own quickly but that was an emotional response to the idea that adulterous relationships can’t be romantic. When it comes to reading through them? I don’t. I run spell check, usually just taking what Word suggests without looking. (Makes for some amusing word choices at times) then I do a Ctrl A, Ctrl C, and Ctrl V and you get what you see here. If anyone ever wants to proof one and send it to me I’ll update and give credit where due but short of the folks at Penguin coming along and paying for it, I prefer to move on to the next fantasy bubbling in my head. As far as I know the authors on here are doin’ for sport not profit. I love getter big 5 stars from someone but it’s not paying my bills. Julie 3 is written but 2 is generating some hostility so she may just be left alone to drift into obscurity. I don’t know yet. There is a pretty steamy scene in a denny’s I really like. -The Author
