Erik smiled then said, "We were wondering if you were scheduled to go back out to the town say in about six weeks from now. We're thinking of building a house out there in the area. We saw a few building lots that look interesting and we wanted to take a ride there to look at them. We figured if you were going to be there, you could show us around."

He thought for a moment and shook his head, "Hold on, let me look on my calendar, I know I've got something but I don't remember the date." He walked into his office and came back out after a bit.

"Yes," He said nodding, "That might just work out. I'm going out there for two weeks and that would be near the end of it. I sure I can extend the trip for a day our so."

Erik nodded and grinned, "That will work out good then, as long as everything's all right when Katja sees the doctor in four weeks."

The uncle Geoff said, "Well this has certainly been a good morning, but, like Victoria, I also have a meeting. You two be careful and Katja, I don't want you in the garage unless absolutely necessary. You can consider that an order."

Katja smiled, "Don't worry uncle, I won't. Erik already volunteered to go down if there something that would require me to be there."

He smiled, "Very good, I'm glad to see you've thought it all out."

The Erik said, "I'd also like to sit down with you and discuss a few things when you get a chance. Here, my office, whatever you'd like, just let me know when."

Uncle Geoff smiled and said, "I think I could fit you in, let's do your office, that way no one will find me."

Erik laughed, "Okay, that's fine by me. Just let me know when."

This time, they went to her office so she could check her messages. Thankfully, nothing needed to be done immediately, so they had time to sit and relax a bit before lunch. She asked him what he needed to talk to their uncle about.

Erik smiled, "Mainly, just what we were talking about the other day. The classes are just about done, was there anything else. That type of thing."

Then he chuckled, "Maybe some advice on being a father might help."

Then he sighed, "That's something I'm going to need, the only thing I know about being a father is that your supposed to love and take care of them and be around if they need you. I had none of that, my father walked out when I was young, I think I told you that. And now, the only family I got, is a sister that I haven't heard from in forever. I don't even know where she is or if she's even alive."

He smiled at his mate, "You, uncle Geoff, and Ariel, have treated me better than my family ever did. Most of the people here have treated me better."

Then he thought for a minute, "Maybe I should ask Neko."

"Oh, speaking of family," He asked, smiling again. "Have you told your brother yet? I know we talked about him, but you never said if he got back to you."

Katja smiled, "Yes, he got back to me, with everything that's been going on, I forgot to tell you. He's been really busy from what he said, they're also thinking about setting up a town like we are. But they're having to do from square one, they don't have a place like ours."

Then she smiled, "I think I'll see if I can call him today or tomorrow and let him know he's going to be an uncle."

Erik laughed "Another one to spoil them?"

Katja smiled and shrugged. "More than likely, if we're lucky, he won't send them a kangaroo to play with."

Erik laughed, "Yeah, I don't think we'll have room for that. Why don't we go to lunch?"

Katja nodded, "That sounds good, I am a little hungry."

They headed to the dining hall and as he expected, just about everyone they met, congratulated them. Erik laughed, "I've never seen news travel as fast as it does around here.

Katja nodded grinning, "It's always been this way, not with just us. I think someone must put out a daily or hourly bulletin."

By the time they got their food and sat at the usual table with repair crew, they must have said thank you about fifty times. Then it got worse when they sat down, the whole table applauded.

Katja had piled her plate full and dug in. Erik grinned to himself, he guessed the doctor was right. He also wondered what the Lyonness equivalent to pickles and ice cream was.

After they ate, they talked to the crew for a bit to pass the time, then they headed back to Katja's office. Once there, Erik hugged and kissed her, then said, "I'll be back in a bit, I've got some things to care of before the classes tomorrow and once I'm done, I'll come back down. If you need me before that, call me. Okay kitten?"

Katja stroked his face and then kissed him. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. I've got some things to do also, including sending my brother and parents the happy news."

Erik smiled, "I hope I can meet them someday, I want to thank them for having you kitten. I love you."

Katja grinned, "I love you also. Now go, so you can get done and then we can leave. And think about what you'd like for dinner."

Erik grinned to himself again, two hollow legs must be part of her pregnancy. He kissed her and headed down to his office. He turned on the coffee maker first thing, he really wanted some, he only had the one at home and what he had in his to-go cup. Then he started going over things for the class tomorrow.

Katja signed in and opened up the messaging program. She sent one to her parents telling them she was pregnant and also asking if they had decided to make the last journey. Then she sent a similar one to her brother Azlan, also asking him if had decided to stay there or come here. Then she added they would really like to see him, if he couldn't catch a ride on the monthly shuttle, Erik had said he'd get him a plane ticket. She sent that one off and she was reminded what Erik had told her about his sister, how he didn't even know where she was.

She picked up the com unit receiver and called to the security department. When they picked up, Katja asked to speak to security officer Boris.

When he came on, Katja said, "Hi Boris, It's Katja."

"Hello Katja, I've heard the good news, congratulations." He replied. "What can I do for you?"

"Thanks," She replied. "I just had a couple of questions for you. I know when my uncle brought Erik on to teach, we did a background check and I know we got information from the government here. I was wondering if it mentioned anything about his sister?"

"He told me that he hasn't seen or heard from her in years and he's not even sure where she lives. So, I'm trying to find her, both for him and for her."

"Well, I have the report here on the computer." He replied. "Just let me call it up and see what it says."

Katja waited while he looked, and she wondered if it was there. And just what she would or should do, if it was.

Boris came back on, "Well, the report list's his sister, a Helen Woodes. Doesn't really say all that much, just the last known address. The check wasn't that all extensive, he was only teaching, not doing anything that required a full-blown check. Plus, we had the background from his government."

Katja thought for a moment, "Is there any way you can check if she's still there or maybe where she is? Maybe get some contact info?"

"I'd really like to see if I can reconnect them if possible. Erik has no other family but her." She laughed adding, "I'm kind of in a, thinking about family mood, if you know what I mean."

She heard Boris chuckle. "Yes, I think I know what you mean. Let me see what I can do, I suppose she should at least know she's going to be an aunt if nothing else."

Katja smiled and said, "Thanks Boris, I owe you one."

She put up the receiver and went back to finishing up some work before they left for the day.
