It's (apparently) been 7 months since I first read this.

I found it (then and now) to be an incredible demonstration of how a real story of love actually can be stronger than any (even well written) simple sex sequence. I hadn't expected it. I just wish I could rate it even higher.

Not that a *bit* more sex wouldn't have been appreciated.

Very well plotted and paced. The characters were compelling and well drawn. The tension between obedience and honor permeated the story, particularly in Kazuo's decision at the end to help Keiko. Thanks for sharing this fine tale. Five stars.
