Tell tha what, us could have a rollicking good shag and ferget them Ide things." "Oh, all right," said Pixie, throwing aside her Complete Works of Shakespeare.

Excellent chapter, Pixie, in part with strong parallels to today. And I enjoyed the meeting with the putting down of the reporter. Of course, if he'd been from the Daily Sport he'd have spelled it out, no doubt with illustrations. Five more stars (your bumper book of astronomy must be getting quite full by now).

Once again, that was brilliant. Lady Cynthia - I mean, Pixie - handled the reporter in the best way possible. Also, what she did with Sally was incredible. And I am sure they will engage in many more perfectly natural practices. :)

Pixie reaches for a higher purpose.

In the face of an unfolding crisis, Lady Pixie shirks not away from danger but faces it heads on. She takes risks and puts herself on the line.

What a contrast to the approach lesser people take: The non-conformists who prefer to hide behind the government, the union leaders who would compound the misery of the workers by going on strike, and above all the tabloid press who, at the behest of powerful business interests, offers gossip and distraction instead of guidance and information to the masses.

Pixie confronts the challenges right on and stands proud and tall (deliberate choice of words).

A decent man named Joe helps Pixie to roll out the new deal she offers to the people. (Do I detect a subtle reference to US administrations past and present?)

In a more intimate situation, Pixie also offers herself to Sally, the working class girl. Thus we are reminded that life is not all work, but must also include play.

There is reciprocation in Pixie's unconventional submission, just not in a sexual way. Sally accepts to work for Pixie's good cause. She is rewarded with a livelihood, a sense of purpose and sexual fulfillment. Pixie, for her own reasons, prefers to remain chaste while doing God's work.
