Hello, LATL fans. I am going to skip forward a little for this chapter. I need to so I can begin wrapping up. I hope you enjoyed Chapter 74. Yes, I know it was long, but I couldn't find a good place to split it.

I think four more chapters to wrap up the series. I will jump forward in time some as it goes. I am not saying there will never be more. I just can't write them fast enough anymore, to be fair to those following the series. These last chapters are going to be more about fun and wrapping things up. I think you will enjoy them. I will take a break from LATL and work on the prequel I began a few years back. I won't start posting the prequel until I have a good start on it. Copyright LATL April 2022. Exclusive use for Literotica only.

A side note -- Sorry this has taken so long, but this damn arthritis is beginning to get in my hands. If it doesn't back off soon, I may have to wrap things up even quicker. I had to leave some out of this chapter because of it.

Life after the Lottery, Ch. 75

It's time

It is now the end of March. All of us, except Amy, had been to four ground school classes on Sundays and were studying hard to get our helicopter license. Samantha was a wiz at it, which didn't surprise Dawn or me. Dawn and I hoped to be ready for the test in a few weeks.

I had been outside most of the week working on a project for Dawn. I went into the house about sunset Thursday. Dawn was in the kitchen with Amy.

"Okay...I have gathered and piled wood for two days for your big ass fire," I said.

"Thank you, honey," Dawn replied.

"What's next?" I asked.

"That should do it. Just hope it doesn't rain tomorrow night."

Dawn had let me know on Monday that she needed a big bonfire for a ceremony Friday night before we all had sex. I had gathered dead tree limbs and wood and made a huge pile down near our little lake. Linda and Rachel would be here for the weekend, so I could enjoy getting everyone pregnant. Dawn had bugged me all month about making sure I was wearing the Ancient stone. For the last several weeks, she had been reading her old books all day long. I knew she was seeking guidance.

"It's not supposed, to rain," I replied. "It wouldn't dare..."

"What do we need for tomorrow night?" Amy asked.

"Just the ceremonial tunics that were shipped to us," Dawn replied.

"Is James going to be naked!" Amy exclaimed and laughed.

"No, he has ceremonial leathers," Dawn replied. "Get them out, honey."

"I will..."

Dawn had been making preparations all week for her ceremony. Whatever she was planning was a big deal.

I went upstairs and pulled out the ceremonial leathers that were made for me when we were married on the reservation. That had been the only time I had worn them. Looking at them brought back memories. I remembered the first time I had met her great-grandparents. Dawn had wanted me to meet them because she felt like we had some past relationship. Little did we know where that would lead us recently.

I lay them out on the bed and brushed the wrinkles out of them. When I had asked Dawn to marry me, she asked if we could get married on the reservation in a traditional ceremony. I had agreed to it. My family hadn't argued about it and were glad to join us for the week of celebration. My family and friends and Dawn's friends from school had driven in for the ceremony. It had been a wonderful week.

"I haven't seen those," Amy said as she came into the bedroom.

"These I wore when we were married on the reservation. After we told her great-grandparents we were getting married, they were made for me."

"Was it Dawn's idea to be married on the reservation or her great-grandparent's?"

"It was Dawn's. I agreed because I had learned how important Dawn was to the tribe and how important they were to her."

"You'll have to tell me all bout it one day," Amy said as she sat on the edge of the bed.

"Amy, honey...are we doing the right thing?"

"You mean all of us getting pregnant?"

"Yes. I am wondering about you and your sister."

"Why?"

"I just...tell me you two are not just caught up in all of Dawn's...what she wants to do."

"James...you can be an ass sometimes. Don't you think sis and I can think for ourselves?

"Yes, honey, I do. I just wonder about the timing. You are in school...Sam is about to start many years of school...and Dawn..."

"Just stop a minute. Dawn is very sure of what she wants for you two. I think all this has even been a surprise to her, and you know she doesn't ever get surprised by things. This is something that she is supposed to do, and so are you."

"For us...maybe. What about you two?"

"Are we really your wives, James?"

"Of course!"

"Then why are you questioning this? Dawn having a child...you two having a child...it is a wonderful thing for the two of you and for sis and me."

"I just wonder about what will change."

"Why are you worried about change, James? Are you worried that children will change your life? Of course, they will. What are you really worried about?"

"I am just worried about you and your sister."

"Are you wondering if sis and I are ready for this?"

"I guess?"

"Are you ready for this?"

"I guess."

"No, you're not, James. No one can be truly prepared for what having children will mean. Are you wondering about how it will change your life? Because it will."

"What about you and your sister?"

"Honey, we have told you about our family...or our mom. You know that we feel like she is the only person that loved us growing up. I got out as soon as I could...looking for a better life. Samantha had to stay, even though I tried to get her to leave and live with me. Sis is such a different person. She gave our dad every chance she could. After I met you and Dawn, I finally began to feel love and what being loved meant. Sis...she knew from the beginning when she met you and Dawn. James...we finally feel loved, and we finally know what it means to love someone other than each other and our mom. It was such a surprise to us when Dawn brought this up with Linda and Rachel. We really had been thinking about it between us. Sis had thought that me doing it was a great idea."

"But, Amy, she is so young."

"She is, but she is about to undertake eight to ten more years of school and training. If she waits...she may be in her thirties. It is something she would not have considered unless..."

"Unless what, Amy?"

"Unless...unless...you...us...were in a position to make it a possibility...financially. Not just because you have money...I mean that you...or us, can provide for children and make having help to raise them a reality. And make it possible for us to have children without the worry of not being able to provide proper childcare. I don't want to say we decided to do it because of money...that is not it. We just know that we did without as we grew up and that kind of life is not fair to a child. Does that make sense?"

"Of course, it does, honey. I guess we all want to be able to provide our children a better life than we had."

"I think you and Dawn had a good life growing up. You don't think that way, do you?"

"No...not in that way. Dawn had an incredible life growing up. She wouldn't have traded living on the reservation in the summers for anything. I never wanted for anything, no one in my family did, but I am looking forward to our children being able to do anything they please in life. All of us being able to provide any education they desire...any opportunities."

"Would you be okay with them living on the reservation in the summers like Dawn did?" Amy asked.

"Of course. That was such a close thing Dawn had with her grandmother and great-grandparents. I am not sure how much longer they will be around, but there are others."

"James...what if it came to be that Dawn spent summers on the reservation...if her great-grandparents were no longer around?"

"Hmmm...hadn't thought of that. That would be something she would be in a position to do if she wants," I said.

"Then what are you worried about?"

"I don't know. I guess I worry that I may not be able to teach three children all they need to know."

"Five."

"Five, I guess. I don't know how much I will be involved with Linda and Rachel."

"I think you better plan on being very involved from what they have said."

"Are you okay with that?" I asked.

"Are you asking me if I am jealous of Linda and Rachel?"

"No..."

"Yes, you are."

"Amy, things have changed so fast over the last year or so..."

"I don't know if I would call it a change. Talking to Dawn and learning from her...I think this last year has been a point in time that we all were heading toward and never knew it."

"Don't you start with that too."

"What else would you call it then? Add things up. Linda met you two, and it has made so much difference in her life. You both helped her learn and move forward out of a bad situation. I met you two at the correct moment in my life. I was in conflict as to where I was heading. You know I was having terrible issues with trust and love. Dawn has reached a major milestone that I think she was telling herself she would never be ready for. My sister found love and meaning that she was desperate for too. Even Rachel has benefitted from all that has happened. If you sit back and just think about everything, it just seems to be something that may have been destined to come together."

"Are you saying all the stars just aligned?"

"I guess. Maybe it started when you two won all that money. That luck has allowed all of us to benefit from it. Not financially, but at a point in all our lives that we needed something. You never knew you would have all this money and be able to provide for us and all the people you have helped. No one could have known that would happen, James."

"I even wonder about that?"

"Why?"

"Something great-grandfather said to me once."

"What did he say?"

"The first time I met him, we talked a lot. This was before all the casinos were built on the reservation. Things there were pretty bad for all the people that lived there. But, he told me that things would change for them. That a better time was coming for all."

"Knowing him, he probably saw the casinos in the future."

"He probably did. But he told me that all people that prosper should remember others and that it would be part of their luck to pay it back to all that needed it."

"Sounds like a good philosophy to me."

"When he said it...I always thought he was making that statement to me for a reason. Like at some point, I would be able to help them out, and he didn't want me to forget that."

"You think he knew you two would win the lottery?"

"You know, I think he did. Every time I had been able to spend time talking to him prior to the lottery win, we always discussed what the future could hold. And he was very interested in making sure I seemed to be the type of person that would give back to the...spirits."

"Okay, you are not going to tell me that Dawn's Ancestors and Spirits had anything to do with you winning the lottery, James."

"Why not? It makes more sense than just dumb luck. He always talked as if a time would come of good fortune for Dawn and me. I just never paid much attention to it. Dawn buying lottery tickets and scratch-offs was just something she did for fun when we went on our weekend trips. She never expected to win anything."

"Maybe the spirits did not want her to know about that."

"You are starting to sound like Dawn."

"Dawn has taught me a lot, James. I don't worry as much about what may come or not come. She has always told me to live for today and let the future unfold as it is meant."

"She taught me that too."

"Honey, sis and I are ready for this change. We both think it is the right thing to do and the right time to do it. James...you know that a year ago, I would have never considered having a baby. I was not in a place in my head to think I had the love to do that."

"I know, honey. I am glad I could help you learn you are very capable of loving."

Amy leaned over and wrapped her arms around me, and held me for a few minutes.

"Thank you so much for that," she said and kissed me.

"Where did you two go?" Samantha asked as she walked into the bedroom. "Dawn is looking for you."

"Just talking. James was telling me about when they got married on the reservation."

Samantha came in and sat on the bed.

"I need to go check on something," Amy said and got up and left.

"How was your lab?"

"Okay. Is that what you wore?" Samantha asked.

"Yes. They were made for me just for our wedding."

I talked to Samantha for a while as I checked things.

I went to bed with Amy and Samantha around 10:30. Dawn was still working on things in her lab.

*****

When I woke up Friday morning, Dawn wasn't in bed with us. I looked, and the door to her lab was open, and the lights were on. I wasn't going to disturb her because I knew she was working on something important.

"Hey, you two," I said to wake up Amy and Samantha.

Samantha rolled to me.

"Where is Dawn?"

"In her lab, working on something. Don't disturb her."

Samantha got out of bed and headed down to her room.

"What is she doing?" Amy asked as she sat up.

"Something for tonight, I am sure."

"She has been busy all week."

"I know. I think this is a big deal for her."

I got up with Amy, and we went and showered. After we dried off, we went back into the bedroom.

"I'll be glad when tonight is over, so we can have sex like we used to do," Amy said.

I took Amy in my arms and held her for a minute.

"What time is it?" She asked.

"About 7:00."

"We have time."

Amy led me back to the bed and had me lay back. She kissed me for a few minutes, then kissed her way down to my cock and started working on it. I watched as she kissed and licked. Once I was nice and hard, she slid her mouth over it and went to work. Amy had some fun for a while. She would suck on my cock for a bit, then rub her tits on it. She finally kept going until I filled her mouth full of cum.

"I better go and get dressed for school," she said as she kissed me and got up and left the bedroom.

I sat up on the edge of the bed.

"Here, drink this," Dawn said and handed me a cup of something.

I took it and smelled it.

"Oh...I am not going to like this, am I?"

"Nope. Just drink it."

It didn't taste as bad as it smelled, but close.

"What was that for?"

"Fertility."

"Have you been up all night?"

"Not really..."

Dawn took the cup and went back into her lab. I grabbed a robe and went down to start breakfast. Samantha came down about halfway through and sat.

"I hope Dawn doesn't make you two drink the crap she just had me drink."

"What was it for?"

"She said fertility..." Samantha giggled.

By the time I had breakfast ready, Amy was down.

"Should I go get Dawn for breakfast?" Amy asked.

"No. She knows it's ready."

The three of us sat and ate.

"What time will you two be home?"

"I'll be back before lunch," Amy said.

"1:00," Samantha added.

When we finished eating, the girls went back upstairs. By the time I had cleaned up, they were leaving for school. Dawn still had not come down. I was looking through the fridge at the things Dawn had in it to cook.

"See anything you like?" I heard Dawn say.

"Just looking at the varmints you are going to cook!"

"I need to start cooking."

"Tell me what to do, and I will cook it."

"I have to cook it," Dawn said.

"What do you want me to do?"

Dawn turned to me and wrapped her arms around me, and held me for a few minutes.

"Things are going to change," she said.

"Yes, they are. And I think the changes are going to be great."

I kissed Dawn, and she went to work in the kitchen.

I made sure the house was clean, then went to my study to check on some things while Dawn was occupied. When I came out a few hours later, I saw Dawn outside at the grill. I went out to check on her.

"Can I help with this?"

"Yes. Cook it slowly...and put these spices on it."

Dawn went back inside. I made sure her varmints were cooked and spiced, as I had been instructed. I had that done by 12:30 and put everything in a pan, and took it back inside.

"What do you need me to do to this now?"

"Cover the pan in foil and let it sit. Thanks."

She had several pots on the stove and was paying close attention to them.

"What is in this one?" I asked.

"Fish stew."

"What's in it?"

"Fish." Dawn giggled. I was happy she was lightening up some.

"No rattlesnake?"

"Couldn't find one." She was probably telling the truth.

"And this? It smells good."

"Herbs and roots. You'll like it."

"What's it for?"

"Dinner."

I swatted her on the ass as she giggled.

I left the kitchen as Dawn was kneading bread dough. It appeared everything had to be handmade.

Amy came in the door and dropped her computer on the table.

"What is she cooking?"

"A lot of things I think have to be handmade."

"Smells good. Can I help her?"

"No. She ran me off."

Amy sat on the sofa with me and looked at the email I was working on. It was an email to Crystal making sure she got in touch with the people at Eurocopter."

"How is that going?" Amy asked.

"Good...I hope."

"Amy, would you do something for me?" Dawn asked.

"Sure."

"The tunics for all of you are laying on the bed down here. Would you double-check them and make sure they do not have any wrinkles?"

"Sure."

"Thanks."

Dawn came and sat next to me.

"I know you think I have been hiding out all week..."

"No, we don't. We know you have been studying."

"I have...this is a very old ceremony. I just want to do it right."

"We know. Are you ready?"

"I think so. What time will Linda and Rachel be here?"

"She said after 3:00."

"Good. All of you should eat a little something. The dinner is for after the ceremony, so it will be late."

"Okay. I'll make something for us to eat."

"Thanks."

Dawn went back to the kitchen. I went upstairs and put on some sweats. When I went back downstairs, Samantha was coming into the house. I recruited her to help me make some snacks.

*****

Linda and Rachel arrived a little after 3:00. They all started teasing me as soon as they were together. They finally sat and started talking. I walked back down to the big pile of wood down by the lake. Dawn told me I had to light it all with a flint spark, so I found some dead grass and brush to put under it. After that, I sat on the ground and thought. The rest of this year was going to be crazy...

"James!!" I hear.

Dawn was standing on the back patio. I got up and started walking back.

"We need to start getting ready," she said as we walked into the house.

"Well, you will have a big fire."

"Thank you. It is important that we do."

Dawn instructed the girls on which tunic was for who then they went to work getting ready.

Before sundown, Dawn was walking around in her new white ceremonial leathers. She had her hair back and her Eagle feathers in it, along with all her other ceremonial jewelry. She looked perfect. I went and got my camera.

"Come with me," I said to Dawn.

"I'm busy."

"Just a few minutes. That's all I need."

I took her down to the basement and stood her in front of a white background, and took some photos of her. I would need them for a project.

"Enough. I have got work to do..."

She headed back up the stairs.

I unloaded the color film from the camera and put it away to drop off later.

When I went back upstairs, Dawn was running around taking care of last-minute things. She had been up and down from her lab on and off all day. She went upstairs and brought down a couple of leather bags.

"Don't let me forget to take these down to the fire."
