ooh --- this is very good! 'Of those, his nights with Aine had felt the most natural, each giving and taking according to their needs. With luck he would find her again.' sounds like communism! Some will complain, but most of us enlightened ones, who tend not to read the reluctance/nonconsent/bdsm content here on lit think it only right. (And yes, I know that under drugs Alain is an animal).

So it’s gone from a whodunnit to a whydunnit, although I suspect that I and most other readers have an inkling as to why he’s been excommunicated.
