Oh my god, hurry up with part 4.

Good story, getting better. Thanks. I was sitting around bored. Now hoping some evil Frenchmen get blown to Johannesburg. Maybe another helicopter door gun run.

One cliché too far.

Sorry just not a fan of the sheriff.

The game's well afoot. There are a fair number of moving parts, too. Go, Saddletramp, go!

Another of your top stories It took me a couple of years BUT I have read every story of yours I wait with baited breath for more (jaybee186)

Holy crap. You've heard Warren Zevon. Way cool and completely showing your age at the same time. Awesome touch.

AAAAArrrgh! This is like the drama TV series that ends the episode with a cliff hanger. You're killing us with tension.

Well done - d%#n you! Great story.

Burner70Burner70about 1 year ago

This is in wrong category. The first chapter had one paragraph about a cheating wife. Everything that came after should be in novels or non erotic.

I hope you now have learned the difference. As for your stories go. You seem to be a one trick pony. They all seem the same.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 year ago

Classic saddletramp1956 -- fascinating characters and a deliciously slow tightening of tension. I really look forward to the continuation of this series.

SKHPSKHPabout 1 year ago

Nothing really new in this part. The story moves far too slow. Plenty of irrelevant information (like how they prefer their coffee or how they exchange greetings). The whole story so far could easily have been handled in half the number of pages.

The plot thickens. I'm fully engaged now. Kudos for the use of Warren Zevon.

The plot thickens; nicely done ST! As usual you are in your groove. Looking forward to the next part! 5* all the way!

Sitting here, and my tongue is hanging out waiting for the next installment ! In an earlier comment I succumbed to early senility and referred to the Sherriff as 'Patrick Ryan' instead of Ryan Caldwell... please forgive me for too many things rattling around my over-fillef head !

And, 5 stars, of course !

Please hurry with more !

sbrooks103xsbrooks103xabout 1 year ago

How many chapters will there be? I'm not going to start this until the entire story is posted.

Oh yeah…..this one has it all!

Seriously….your writing is getting better all the time. Many thanks for sharing your talents here for free!

Is the waitress with the Russians, too?

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 year ago

Getting more interesting all the time. Ryan has a really dark and interesting past which is apparent in most of your stories. Good job on the editing, makes for an excellent read not having to figure out what words you are trying to use, clear and concise .

Damn, hurry up with the next installment! Love all the stories, and the ones you’re involved with!

Roland the Thompson Gunner and the Excitable Boy?

{Also an expy of the autistic Swedish cop, but that's not TOO bad}

Great story - setting aside the smartassery.

Love your stories but this chapter was a little below average, as nothing much happened. I hope the next chapter will be out soon.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 year ago

I'm loving the slow build, the intrigue, and what's going on behind the scenes, both the good guys and the bad guys, plus with the sheriff's office. This has really become a fun read, as it draws you in, and wants you to keep going. A good story teller tells a story, a great one draws the reader in, making him/her feel like part of the story. That's what I really love about an ST1956 story, he wants the reader involved. Next part please. Like sbrooks said, I should have waited until the whole story was posted, as I'll be checking for each new chapter daily. I'm giving this part 5 stars, just like I gave the previous parts 5 stars each. Thank You for sharing it with us ST1956.

Great story and getting better. You must be a faster George RR Martin to imagine all the books, stories, and characters and keep them all straight. I think Ryan is going to need old Ranger Justus and friends to keep this situation under control. Write on.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 year ago

The bad guys dismember victims. I'd be worried if I was Roland the [Headless] Thompson gunner.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 year ago

Through creative talent and sheer hard work, ST has catapulted himself from the ranks of amateur, wannabe writers to an author of commercial quality. To the rest of you aspirants, understand that you only get better by practice, introspection, considering objective critique and using a decent editor (not an echo-chamber)! Look at his early work and look at now. Then, go read his commercial work. This is how you do it. Fifty stars doesn't even cover it for SaddleTramp's body of work and growth as a writer. Maybe his best yet.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 year ago

THE BRIGE is a truly great story. Top flight detective thriller without, as far as I can tell,

an element of predictability.

Easily one of your very best!

The villain population of Hard Rock keeps growing. The French guys are obviously seeking revenge. Whatever Azalea is doing with mercenaries really intriguing. It didn’t sound like they were there to defend her. If she survives, she’d be an interesting citizen to appear in more Caldwell/Hard Rock tales.

Ok

I’m gonna fanboy out!

Saddletramp is one of the top writers on this platform

It would not suprise me if he was a world renowned author and this is is his hobby spot.

If yiu haven’t checked out the Amazon books you should!

Saddletramp has become one of my favorite authors!

I thoroughly enjoy the tales he weaves...definitely including this one! The only "fly in the ointment" is having to wait for the next chapter. I am "addicted!"

ST is definitely a Warren Zevon Fan ... I'll have these two songs stuck in my head for days. (They are great songs, so that's not a bad thing.)

Dang this is another awesome series by ST. I did not comment on the first 2 installments but I just cannot resist commenting now. For you other ST admirers he has published a book and I bought it on amazon as a kindle book. I have not read it yet so I cannot comment on it but you might be interested in it also.

Just outstanding. The ability to build intrigue and laters is such a fine line. Well done.
