Thank you for a wonderful story, A bit scatty at the begining but the stories message got through. Like you said it's not about sex it's about caring
Thanks again
A truly wonderful story about love. We often forget that love takes many forms and should remove the blinders to what is really out there! I hope to see many more stories from you.
Such an enjoyable story. The dialogue was so natural sounding, the Author has such a deft touch as to make you feel as if you are listening in on the two women's conversations.
Loved the Humphrey Bogart quote at the end. "Louie, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship." So, if this is your first time reading this Writer, perhaps this could be the start of a beautiful Reader/Writer association.
It is probably the best story of any type that I have ever read.
Thank you,
Jack
So subtle and understated; the erotisim oozed out of evey line.
Although always in hetero relationships myself, I now know why you were so fulfilled.
A great story. But that ending was like a sucker punch in the gut, literally. It's good to read a love story that isn't about randy teenagers. Congrats, Mary Beth. p.s. Sorry about the pun.
Gee, the ending is SO final! Guess the heroine loved her protege to death - like Maxwell House Coffee's motto, "Good to the very last drop!", heh?
marybeth i remarked to this story once before with tears in my eyes and im remarking again I loved reading this story it reminds of the times i lived in that time im 54 yrs old now and i was a teen in the years Betty and her love one but i really loved your story

Well done. I don't think the ending was all that sudden - I sensed it was near the end for your character's relationship for quite some time. You are a wonderful writer!

I have to say that this was a tremendous story. You are a gifted writer. This story should remind us all that we don't know exactly when the end will be - so live each day to the fullest, dance like no one is watching and love like there is no tomorrow. BRAVO- WELL DONE.
True love and friendship at it finest. Sex is only a perk when the love is there.
Thank you for such a beautiful story.
This story is truly a slice of life. It was real while being a weird kind of trip in ways... just like life can be. The ending was a real jolt, but that is also just how life can be.
It's odd, though. Leaving the story there made me feel like I didn't stick around to be with a friend who had to go through that. Even if she never had another Great Love like the one in this story, I think she would have been a good person to know.
You just never know when you will find that special person. To share friendship, life, love, happiness.
In one page you've encapsulated what many other writers would have taken a great deal more work to achieve. One great gripping story with an unexpected punch in the gut at the end. Marvellous stuff!
I love this story you don't know what to expect in life you don't know who your next love or who you will love as long as you're happy and the other person is happy it really doesn't matter
This is life but damn unexpected damn ill timed ...... This coming togehter, getting together, living togehter was fabulous ..... Yeah death is part of our being, but just as last sentence, ill timed ..... Yes we have to be thankful for every breath for every sunray for every moment, because for the real belevoed ones the end comes to early to fast or wrong timed or else, unfortunately im very experienced since early days in this horror
