"Where are we going?" Nabid swept its... his hands outward as if drawing a cloak about his shoulders. A thin-leather wrap -- cloak, cape, and cowl -- issued from the air in a stream of sickly yellow smoke. The pale brown of desert sand, the wrap's leather Saran knew to be the skin of mortals -- but she made no remark as she turned her eyes toward the mountains to the west, now glowing under the angling rays of the rising sun in the east.
"To the coast, and away from here." Saran did not look to see if Nabid moved to follow as she began her trek along the pilgrim's road.
"Don't you want to collect your tent?" Nabid leered at her as he adjusted his fine human-skin garb to cover as much of his inhuman skin as it could.
"No."
