Instinct vs reason. And reason wins. (This round at least). Lady Cynthia’s internal battle was epic. I love how Pixiehoff incorporates complicated psychological dilemmas presented by the BDSM lifestyle: Letting loose is one thing; losing oneself is another. The very nature of BDSM involves “predator and prey” dynamics which can quickly get out of hand without agreed upon rules of consent, and clearly defined limits. Lady Cynthia seemed to intuit so much having never been exposed to BDSM before. Her experience with a repressive English society, and her desire to escape those restrictions, obviously aided her decision making at THE critical moment. Lady Cynthia continues to impress - as do all the ladies. The turning of the tables on old Franklin was classic. I look forward to being impressed a lot more in future chapter. 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
