"Your worries are valid, but like I said you and I are fine. Trust me, if I come on to you it's because I want to come on to you. And if you don't want me to come on to you, tell me. Your feelings count just as much as mine."

Alexander nodded. For the briefest of moments, he opened his mouth to speak before wisely cutting himself off. But it was too late. Karen had noticed. "And what were you going to say?" she gently teased.

"I was going to ask, before telling myself it was a bad idea, if you ever had the same problem in high school?"

"Alexander, the only reason I wasn't called the class slut was because the first girl to try got kicked square in the babymaker." Karen ran her hand across his chest. "I like sex. More is better than less. As long as it doesn't interfere with my life or my studies, I'm going to have as much of it as possible. Some of it's going to be with you, as long as you're on board with it." Karen laid a light kiss on Alexander's forehead. "Does that assuage your worries?"

"It would if I knew what 'assuage' meant." He gave Karen a warm smile. "Thank you. I needed to hear that tonight. Looks like being my Intro to Psych study partner's paying off."

"Oh, there's the cocky Sounders supporter I know." Karen rolled away from Alexander. She stepped off the bed and pulled back the covers. "Now, we can crawl under the covers and cuddle until we fall asleep, or we can crawl under the covers and have some fun." Karen made her preference known by pushing off her black-and-white boy shorts, leaving her stark naked in front of him.

"As you said," he said as he slid underneath the covers, "it would be a shame to waste this private dorm room." Karen's smile was the last thing he saw before she leaned over to hit the light switch, plunging the room into darkness. The dim light of the mist-covered quad leaked through the closed curtains, softly outlining Karen's body as she climbed into bed to join Alexander. Her warm body molded against his as the two freshmen began making out. Perhaps it was the darkness, or the fact that they were under the covers, that led to their kisses to stray on the tender, sensual side. His hands drifted up and down Karen's back, never going below her waist, while her fingers played with his blonde hair.

Eventually, Karen rolled onto her back. "Go slow," she requested while he climbed on top of her. "I'm not in the mood to rush." He nodded in understanding. After pressing his feet against her ankles to spread her ankles, Alexander took hold of himself. The underlying scent of copper helped to further stiffen his cock as he ran the tip along her already soaked lips, mixing his precum with her wetness. Once lined up it only took a few simple pushes for his cock to completely sink inside of Karen's waiting pussy, the liquid heat causing him to shiver with anticipation of what was to come.

Karen sighed contentedly as he began thrusting with long, slow, deep strokes. He buried his entire length inside of her to repeated murmurs of approval. "That's it," Karen urged, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. "Keep doing what you're doing." Her slippery tunnel made it easy for him to push as deep as she wanted. "Yes," she proclaimed with quiet joy as he buried himself inside of her.

It was an exercise in patience. The temptation to begin jackhammering in and out of Karen's pussy, ruining it like a Seattle city street, was strong. Instead, Alexander took a breath and kept his pace. He focused on the sensation of being deep inside of her. Every inch of his manhood and then some was engulfed by her heated essence. His thrusts caused Karen to rock back and forth against the mattress. She began moving in time with him, rocking forward while pulling his body close to hers. Judging by the way her head fell back against the pillow, his cock was hitting Karen in all the right places. He pressed his lips against her exposed throat, drawing a sultry moan before her mouth found his.

The next few minutes were a montage of sweat, skin, lips, and heat. Despite his improved cardio thanks to running with Julie, fatigue was beginning to set in for Alexander when he felt a familiar tingle in his lower body. He immediately slackened pace to buy time, but he was only able to purchase a few precious moments. "I'm close," he warned Karen.

Alexander was in the middle of a long, firm thrust when he finally exploded. The blissful sensation of cumming while being pulled along Karen's soft, drenched walls was incredible. "Oh yes," Karen whispered. She pulled Alexander close, ensuring that every single inch of his cock was buried inside of her as he came.

When opened his eyes Karen was looking at him. Her tongue ran over her lips as she slipped her hand between their bodies. "Don't move," she told him. He nodded, wincing at the sensitivity of his softening cock, as Karen began rubbing her clit. It wasn't long before she took a deep, shuddering breath. Alexander gasped as her pussy clenched and her essence flowed over and around his spent manhood like warm honey.

After a moment Karen opened her eyes and offered him a demure smile. "Thank you. That was exactly what I was looking for."

"Sorry about going off before..."

A finger pressed firmly against his lips. "Hush. We both enjoyed ourselves. That's all that matters." Karen groaned as she gently pushed Alexander from on top of her. "Alright. Let's go clean up so we can get some sleep."

"Ugh. I don't want to move." Even as he complained, however, Alexander was rolling towards the edge of the bed.

"Yeah, well, better to spend a couple of minutes being hygienic than a week guzzling cranberry juice." Sitting on the edge of the bed, Karen used her foot to pick up her boy shorts from the floor. "And you're not the one who's got to walk up a flight of steps with both guy and girl cum dripping out of her." At the nauseated wince on Alexander's face, Karen could only laugh and kiss him on the nose. "What can I say? Sex is a wonderful and disgusting thing..."

As he stood in the doorway to the storage closet, Cole did some quick mental math. "Stacking on a stack's only way this table's going in."

"Stand it upright and slide it in the middle," Caroline called out from behind him.

After another rapid calculation, Cole slowly turned the long table on its end. Per Caroline's instructions, he lined it up with the narrow gap between the two stacks of smaller tables and gave it a push. He had to turn his hand sideways and provide the final effort with only his fingers, but eventually, the table found its snug resting place. "Done and done," he told Caroline.

The curvy blonde sophomore was in the process of resting a quartet of chairs against the wall next to the closet door. "Good! All that's left is the Magic game, and Sam and I can break that down once they're done." She motioned to the far side of the room where a quartet of students was gathered around a square table. "You can take off if you want."

Cole shook his head. "Came this far, might as well finish the job. Call it payment for kicking my ass tonight twice in Betrayal."

"You came close to winning," she responded. "But I got lucky with both those Haunts. Even in the second edition they're damn near broken. If you're going to stay, you can fill me in about that double-feature you invited me to this weekend, Mr. Scales."

"Reckon I can, Miss Cross. Ain't much to talk about though." Cole crossed his arms and casually leaned against the wall. "Watched a pair of Halloweens, ate too much junk food, drank too much soda, made a new friend or two. Good time, just light on specific details. More of a drive-in experience than a movie theater one, describing it best way I can."

"In that case, definitely invite Sam and me if you do another one." Caroline joined Cole in leaning against the wall. "We love going to the movies but it's a 30-minute drive to the nearest theater. I'll warn you, horror movies aren't my preference."

As Caroline talked, Cole studied her out of the corner of his eye. Caroline was a far cry from the petite, pixie-like Gwen, with whom Cole had the unexpected pleasure of spending Saturday night. The sophomore's dirty blonde hair was swept back in a pair of wavy tails, with two silver brooches holding them in place. He couldn't help but admire the way her jeans hugged her hips and how her blouse hung from her voluptuous frame...

"Cole?"

"Sorry?"

"I said, horror movies aren't my thing."

"Repeating, sorry." Cole shook his head, trying to recover. "Girl at the show, Piper, said the same. Got caught in a little remembrance loop, sorry. Any specific kind of movie preference of yours I should look out for?"

"Fantasy. Duh." Caroline's friendly smile was warm and infectious, much like Eleanor's. "The Lord of the Rings trilogy was my Star Wars and The Hobbit my prequels. Sword and sorcery, knights and maidens, wizards and warriors, stuff like that. It's one of the reasons I'd kill to be in a Dungeons and Dragons campaign."

"Out of luck finding one?"

"Still all filled. And no one wants to be the Dungeon Master and start a new one. I don't blame them. It's a lot of work. Betrayal's fine as a legacy game but it's a low-calorie RPG at best. I want something more concrete." She shot him a smirk. "Unless you want to start one up."

"Never run a game before," answered Cole, "not even a one-shot. Wouldn't know where to begin." He held up a hand. "And no, don't try to swing me otherwise. Ain't easily swayed."

"I wasn't going to. Too bad, though. I'd play in one of your campaigns."

With an eyebrow raised, Cole asked, "Believe I'd be any good?"

"I listened to a couple of albums by that Rush band you talked about. Apparently, they're huge in the gaming community." She leaned over and lightly rapped Cole on the shoulder. "And you're a musician so you've got some creativity in you."

"I wish. Ain't written a song since middle school and that's a notebook best left burned and scattered. Can whip up a halfway decent guitar chord no sweat but always left the lyrics to our singer."

"Maybe you could take a song and base a campaign around it. I'd play 2112 as a D&D game. So, any fun planned for tonight?"

"History of Jazz homework," Cole answered. "Got a date night of my own with Charlie Parker, the reading and listening kind. Great musician, rough life."

Caroline winced with sympathy. "I heard that class is tough."

"Toughest class I'm taking. Pretty much told me from day one I wasn't in high school anymore. Learning a lot though, stuff I didn't know about where jazz came from. Hell, where music came from. Looking forward to and ain't looking forward to part II next year. What about you? Fun plans now that the games are over?"

"Date night. Back to my room, go to bed, have a later dinner, putz around, go to bed again, then go to bed for real."

As Cole nodded in understanding, he found himself once again taking in Caroline's body for a brief moment, an unconscious motion brought about by her comment. "Well, always good to have a plan..."

"Babe? We're done."

Cole and Caroline both turned as a young man with curly brown hair and glasses walked towards them holding a pair of chairs under each arm, followed by two other students carrying the long table. "Did you win?" inquired Caroline.

"Of course," he grinned. "Everyone else was playing new decks though, so it doesn't count." After making sure the chairs and table were properly put away, he turned to Cole. "You must be Cole. Name's Sam. Sorry it took me so long to say hi."

"All good," Cole said as Sam gave him a firm handshake. One word came to mind as he looked at Sam - 'sturdy.' Sam was shorter than Cole as well as wider. But he wasn't fat, just... square, with the kind of body one would bounce off of if they ran into him. "Every time I saw you, had your face in a deck. Didn't want to break your concentration."

"You're always welcome if you want to sit in," Sam invited.

"Thanks, but luck don't bend my way in card games. Why I stick with board games."

"Sounds like Caroline." Sam slipped an arm around her waist. "She kicks my ass when it comes to board games. Guess that makes us oil and water. But hey, if you ever want to try your hand Cole, the offer's there." He glanced at Caroline. "You ready to go?"

"Sure am." Caroline smiled at Cole. "Good night, Mr. Scales. Enjoy your jazz."

"Good night, Miss Cross. Enjoy your goings to bed. I got the lights."

Cole could hear the puzzled teasing in Sam's voice as the pair walked towards the door. "Mr. Scales? I didn't realize you two were on a last name basis..."

As Cole went for the bank of light switches, he couldn't help but snag one more look at Caroline. His eyes were drawn to the way her butt moved in her jeans, remaining on target until she and Sam disappeared. Cole sighed in appreciation at the departed sight before sighing in exasperation right after. "The hell," he chided himself, "with the roaming eyes. Girl's got a guy." Still, Caroline did have a nice body, along with being funny, charming, and a gracious winner...

Too much sex. That's why he kept staring at Caroline. Two months at college, four attractive women, and no end to the physical delights on the horizon. Sex was on his brain more often than he expected, even for a college freshman, and his mind couldn't deal with the rush of hormones and endorphins flooding his body on a semi-regular basis.

With his hands on his hips, Cole looked up at the vinyl-tiled ceiling. "Just looking," he told the universe. "Ain't nothing wrong with looking at the birds long as you ain't fucking in the bushes."

Sitting in her desk chair, Julie clapped her hands together. Once everyone had turned their attention towards her she held Magnolia, Eleanor's stuffed cherry red Grateful Dead bear, in the air. "By the power invested in me by our mascot," she proclaimed, "I hereby call this meeting of the Midnight Movie Club to order on this Friday night."

"Seconded," said Cole as he lounged on Julie's bed. "Meeting officially journed." From across the dorm room, Alexander and Eleanor shot Cole a simultaneous pair of puzzled looks. "You adjourn a meeting when it's over. So, journ a meeting when it kicks off. Right?"

Alexander chewed on his lower lip for a moment. "It makes a certain amount of grammatical sense. It's not like we take official minutes anyway."

"Let's start with Old Business," Julie said as she sat Magnolia on her desk, "which would be a debriefing regarding last Saturday night. Considering most in attendance were invited by the three of you, I would like to hear your opinions about how our informal get together went."

"Might consider me biased, but think it went well." Cole offered one of his casual shrugs that Eleanor recognized from high school. "People came, had a good time, no one complained, least not to me, and didn't catch any grumbling or grousing while leaving. Yeah," he offered with a gentle nod, "call it a success."

Eleanor made a cutting motion with both hands as she said, "Absolutely agree. For something thrown together in like a day, that was a lot of fun. Hell, I thought Tricia'd be a wet blanket but she cracked a smile once or twice. If she had fun, that's a sign you did damn near everything right."

"I was late to the show," added Alexander, "but I had a good time and so did Susan and Karen. Just a bunch of people hanging out, watching movies, eating free food... that might have been one of the draws seeing how everyone walked off with a huge haul of leftover snacks. It was a low-key way to blow off midterm stress and from where I'm sitting, it worked. What about you Julie," he asked. "What do you think?"

Julie smiled brightly at Alexander's question. "I'm in the same boat as the three of you. I enjoyed the camaraderie and I most definitely enjoyed the conversation. So, we're all in agreement that last Saturday night was a success?" The three freshmen nodded their acquiescence, which caused Julie to nod as well. "Outstanding. To quasi-segue to New Business for a moment, is this an event we should repeat sometime?"

A moment's silence and a series of shared glances filled the dorm room until Eleanor spoke. "I don't see a reason why we shouldn't. But I'd wait until next semester. You know, give last weekend some time to breathe? Make it feel more... more like an event, rather than something we do all the time."

"Concur. It'll give us more time to plan," stated Cole. "Give us more time to extend invitations too. Friend of mine couldn't make it due to the short notice."

Alexander hesitantly raised his hand. "I'm all for a sequel, but can I suggest we don't invite too many more people next time? A couple of people had to sit on the floor, and even with more chairs I think it might be too crowded."

"All valid points," Julie noted. "For now, I'd like to note that we're interested in holding a second double feature and leave the specifics for another time. I would like to suggest, however, that we pencil in Valentine's Day weekend for this event. That will give us a starting point the next time we meet. How does that sound?" As everyone nodded, Julie quickly wrote the information down on her notepad. "If there's nothing else then, I'd like to move onto New Business. Alexander, I believe you have something for us?"

Alexander eagerly reached for his backpack sitting next to him on the bed, but Eleanor's nervous cough made him pause. "Actually," she said, "before we do that there's something I need to tell the group."

"Of course, Eleanor." Julie leaned forward in her chair with concerned interest. "Is everything OK?"

"It's either not a big deal or it is a big deal." While Cole was staring at her in anticipation, Alexander was giving her a look of deep worry. Eleanor gently squeezed his knee before saying, "I kind of... no, there is no 'kind of,' I broke one of our bylaws Saturday night."

Eleanor expected a slew of questions from Julie and Alexander. Instead, what she got was a silence she was expected to fill as they both looked at her, which somehow made her apprehension worse. "I slept with Cole," she confessed, "without telling him that I had slept with someone outside the group first."

With the lede dug up and put on display for all to see, Eleanor found her case of the jitters buried in its place. "OK, so Cole and I hooked up Saturday night during the show. It's why the two of us were late coming back from intermission. I cornered him in the bathroom and we had sex on the counter."

Julie unexpectedly smiled. "I thought that was the case. I didn't say anything because no harm, no foul, but it was almost obvious what had happened."

"I was overcome with lust," Eleanor said, "and Cole was in the right place at the right time."

"Seems to be the best way to get laid around here." Cole offered Eleanor a reassuring smile. "Continue."

"Yeah, OK. Having sex with Cole was spur of the moment, but when I said he was in the right place at the right time, that's because I wasn't originally planning on having sex with him. I was supposed to hook up with Beatrix."

"Beatrix?" Alexander gestured to the wall behind him. "The creepy girl from next door?"

"She's not creepy," Eleanor shot back. "She just walks to her own drummer, like every single student on campus." Realizing his mistake, Alexander put his hands in the air as he silently nodded his apology. "Beatrix and I had been flirting throughout the first movie. We were going to sneak off for a couple of minutes but then she got a phone call. So instead of leaving me out to dry, she suggested I track down Cole for a little bit of fun."

Eleanor had expected a handful of questions by this point. Save for Alexander's misguided statement, however, her friends remained silent, allowing her the floor to explain what happened. "So Cole and I bang, and while we're cleaning up I admit that he had been a replacement for Beatrix and that's when I told him that I had slept with her the Saturday before midterms."
