Given the title, I’m not sure why the Silver Wand didn’t make an appearance. Perhaps in a sequel?
The title is deliberately ironic, a play on how the Nazis in WW2 were obsessed with "wonder weapons" - hugely expensive boondoggles that just...did not work. The Silver Wand was exactly the same kind of thing. Getting it wouldn't have changed the story much, because it'd just make one guy extremely powerful in an incredibly close range.
Quite delightful. And you have a there a detailed outline of a novel. I may be reinventing the wheel here, but I suspect if you found Laurell K Hamilton's agent and presented this novella, with the first two chapters fleshed out, you would have a salable manuscript. Best of luck.
I love this story, the characters, all of it, and feel pain at the thought of it ending.
I hope this not the last we see of it...
A damn good story, lots of action, sex and enough "this is not normal" going ons to be interesting. Keep writing as you donit so well
This whole thing could have just been a jk subtweet but you did the best thing possible and just wrote a good story about a character i rrally liked. AND its a jk subtweet. Delightful
Sequel!!! This is too well written, as usual. Please carry on, and if possible, write a sequel for this story.
I do hope there are more adventures of Minerva Gold. An exciting adventure and just enough to make the reader eager for more. 5 stars from start to finish.
don't worry, everyone!
the world of minerva golding will return with "Virginia Blythe and the Cable Street War", the sequel.
but writing Minerva was really hard! Lots of historical research and checking with consultants. Gonna write something much sillier for a palette cleanser.
It is good to end a tale when the story is told - but what about the Wand of Silver?
An amazing story. Almost makes me want to read more history... But then I would have to watch as others repeat it.
