5 stars even tho no sex, because I had a, sort of, similar homestay hosting experience about a year & a half ago. This story resonates with me. My sis & I are both widowed in our 60s. To optimize expenses, we live together for practical reasons, & run an Airbnb hosting operation of one room to help defray our expenses, & to meet interesting people all over the world.

We hosted a mid-30s couple from Sth America. We had assumed they are bf/gf or hubby/wife, & they didnt say much about themselves. But, their looks & mannerisms were uncannily similar. Cousins maybe? Our social media trail checks seem to indicate that they are siblings. Suffice to say, they were intimate but in always a polite & measured away, as a regular couple would be. Like he would rub suntan lotion all over her in our open patio. They would smooch in our patio pool late in the night when all is quiet. Of course, what they do in their room, we are none the wiser.

With this going on for a month, which was the duration of their stay, it awoke something between my sis & me, & this didnt escape the notice of our guests. We were more touch feely, & then some, & became increasingly comfy with each other.

I shared this story with my sis. She has read it like, many times.

Now, our Airbnb hostings have taken on a new excitement dimension, & we so look forward to each new hosting. But, we do calibrate our interactions, to leave the delicious question of “are they doing it or not?”.

I had a similar experience once in one of my Airbnb stays in a remote coastal location. I was backpacking alone. Stayed a week. The host pair was silent about their relationship. They gave muted subtle hints that they were related, even alluding to being siblings, but they neither confirmed nor denied their biological relationship. They were outwardly teasingly affectionate, especially on weed nites, but never explicitly sexual. But, toward the end of my stay, they showed me a secret cove with an underwater cave leading to an air pocket of cavern. We swam nude, dived, & spent some time in the cavern. Suffice to say, it was a most memorable experience. I never did solve the puzzle definitively. Oh well, maybe that is the sweet charm of it all. Some years later, I revisited & wanted to Airbnb with them again. But, there was nary a trace that they existed. Sometimes, I wonder whether I imagined it all.
