This was awesome. As someone who was disappointed by Onyx Path's Secrets of the Covenants I am loving what you are doing here and your deep dive into of the culture and doings of the all night society. There are plentiful hints of "Lovecraftian" toned Cruac rituals in the VTR CRB & splats but you absolutely nailed that vibe and evocation of the dark powers beyond mortal understanding.

@Novus, what say you of an idea to introduce a drug/skill that will allow Jack to create physical copies of himself that he can use for fun times in and outside the bedroom, for sexual purposes and maybe combat? Feel free to ignore this suggestion completely, I’ve simply seen it used in some other unnamed stories aeons ago.

Your note at the end is off base. The girl talk does much to continue to flesh out Antionette, while also showing her shaping Natasha. Well done. Give us more. It is a great counterpoise to the dark ritual that followed.

The cruac ritual was spot on. Simply master horror storytelling. A great introduction for Beatrice. I can't wait to see how it affects her encounters with Julias. Will she ever be able to not see what she has seen? How will the darkness leave her? When will she do her own summonings? How dark can she go in this city of lightness and sex? The anticipation is delicious!

The occasional lightheartedness you add just enhances the creepy darkness, especially when referring to playtime in the bedroom. Those werewolves are so yummy; lucky Natasha!

It was more life talk than just girl talk. The parts about knowing yourself and being comfortable with and true to who you are are some very important life lessons and it's parts like that being incorporated naturally into a story as parts of different characters outlooks on life that turn a story into something truly great.

*grins* I loved that Antoinette picked up on Natasha’s girlie-girl side and how it can place nicely into her relationship with Matt and Ant. Those boys definitely want to spoil her like Daddy Doms are want to do with Their baby girls. I think Natasha will benefit greatly from Antoinette’s centuries of experience.

I also love the way you have shown Jack, Natasha, and Beatrice each having a bit of “down time” experiences with their mentors. I can hardly wait to find out what Jack finds out from the rats about Barry’s death and to see what happens after Beatrice has had some training time with both Jacob and the Black Blood of Dolareido. *grins* ... not to mention looking forward to see how Matt and Ant react to seeing Natasha in some bright pastels and tiny babydoll nighties... *soft chuckle*

I've never seen those movies, so writing about the characters watching it could be difficult.

Watch one of the many trailers and let your inner storyteller make creative assumptions before placing characters of your own on a couch for a moment of levity. Taking breaks from moments of importance are good for their health, so why not sit back and watch the Hobbit trilogy.

Oh I see, you want a break scene with all/many of the characters together. As the story unfolds, I do have some scenes like this planned, with characters getting to know each other more and more friendships being forged.

But it is an erotic story so a lot of these break scenes become sex scenes as I write them. :P

Yes, a scene with multiple characters hanging out and taking it easy would be most welcome. It would be nice for them.

It is very interesting as a sidenote, that The Black Blood of Dolareido call Jacob “Malachi”. Not only is this yet another old, testament name, like Jacob, but from the Hebrew, it can also translates as. “my angel”. (this is both in modern and biblical Hebrew.)

Something tells me that the black blood is not actually calling him his angel, but I just think it was funny seeing that this was one of Jacobs prior or different names.
