It's funny how life works. What had been one of the worst days of my life, turned out to be the best. Being fired by my wife forced me to finally pursue my dream and succeed at it. Not only that, but it created a much stronger marriage and family.
My father first told me this saying, but I've heard it many times since then. What we regret most in life is not what we try and fail at; it's the things that we never try at all.

Anonymous1 day agoI confess to read these sort of stories for the personal interaction and the revenge element. I appreciate that some of the radio stuff and to be there to show how the MC spent his time while being estranged from everyone. Most of the rest of the radio stuff I felt could have been replaced with more of the personal dynamic, perhaps from the wife's perspective to show how Todd acts, or regret for being unable to back down, or just how the daughters were told. I thought the 2nd half of this story was much better about dealing with the personal interaction than say Let Go [https://www.literotica.com/s/let-go-1] which became a bit of a sugar rush instead.
Anonymous1 day agoSeems strange, quite a few comments negative about the couple getting back together. Different strokes and all that crap. My sympathy goes more toward the partners of a few writing comments than toward the story characters. Thanks Stoney for a good tale.
