Holey Cow Dude! What a complex relationship maze that was! Great story telling...I like your writing style
I do remember this story well. It and your other stories caused me to follow you. I regret not saving your stories but am glad other have done so.

Sweet ending, you don't need anything more after that final little paragraph. You address the "co-incidence" aspect well, too.. Thank you for posting it.
An embarrassment of riches - another new/old story I thoroughly enjoyed rereading. An original and improbable plot with a heartwarming ending. Thank you for reposting.
My reaction is different. LTC Sadler is an absolute asshole for destroying Mr. Weber’s family. Yes, Mr. Weber cheated on his wife, which she didn’t know, but now his children have lost their father.
.
Just collateral damage, I guess.
The whole need to meet in person over and over again was illogical and the courts do not automatically rule for women in any state these days. Maybe this story was set in the 80's.
This is just an excellent story. It holds together well. And it’s an amazingly unique plot.
At the bottom of page two, you tell us that there are three blonde haired children playing around Mrs Weber. While we know that Mrs Weber fucked and knocked up Mrs Sadler, we do not know if Mr Weber fucked any other Army wives, any other wives or single women in all of this. We do not even know if Mr Weber or Mrs Sadler initiated the one weekend stand. We do not know if Mr Weber had more than the one extra-marital affair, though we do know that Mr Weber remembered Mrs Sadler, so my impression is that he hadn't had so many affairs that Lydia faded into obscurity.
.
What we do know is that, thanks to MAJ Sadler's investigation, yes, Mr Weber got kicked out and divorced, and is undoubtedly paying through the nose in child support for three little blonde kids. Whether he got hit for alimony is not specified. But we also know that three little blonde kids have lost their father, to maybe see him on alternate weekends.
.
This is the collateral damage that stuck with me. Yeah, I get it: a lot of LW readers seem to be divorced from adulterous wives, something with which I have no experience. But what I do have experience with is having a father who just plain disappeared when I was in elementary school. Mr Weber paid for his sins, but so did Mrs Weber, and so did those three little kids. MAJ Sadler got his revenge on them as well.
"Yes, Mr. Weber cheated on his wife, which she didn’t know, but now his children have lost their father...'
Was he any good at it, fathering? He certainly was good at creating life...Don't know that the kids aren't better off without the cheater.
I recall this story. Not sure the MC did the right thing after divorcing the lying bitch, maybe just move on and not get involved in all the other stuff. Still, quite well done, thanks for sharing this again.
I recall reading the story originally, and it is great. That last line of mother handing the pacifier and saying "it belongs to you and I thought you might like it back" has stayed with me as one of the best endings ever. 5*
Having said that, I just note that I do not know that destroying Weber's family was justice, as now you have three children without a father. We do not know the circumstances of the adultery or if it was one off for both that just happened. Sometimes exposing evil just multiplies the harm without sufficient countervailing benefit.
Not sure if I remembered this one or not. The upside is I got to read a well crafted story for the “first time”. 5.0*
A great story! A fully-realized world, with multilayered, realistic characters. Love the attention to military bureaucracy, the very relatable reason for the cheating, and the very understandable response. No psychos, no Navy Seals, no biker gangs--just real people making real mistakes and trying to deal with them. GREAT work!
Never explain why she had the affair. But gave up her daughter for him. What a story.
Sorry but way, way too many coincidences used to fill in gaping plot holes. And as for Mrs Memory, that just came across as lazy.
Good story. Let's see: Company grade and then Field Grade Officer (x), participate in REFORGER (the name of the exercise in Germany--9 times for me (x), Fort Hood (x), Hospital, Frankfurt, Germany (x), Heidelberg (x), Fort Lewis (x), Command and Staff College (x), XO to high-ranking officer (x), child born in Army Hospital (x), not me but delt with several subordinates with cheating wives and one with wife pregnant from an affair (x). Damn it seems author spent his career following me around. A few glitches here and there but using the correct military rules and terminology would have only bogged down the story so not a distractor. Do not have a problem with Weber being burned as he was a predator and if not stopped would continue to cause harm to others. MC did not cause Weber's three children to be without a father that is entirely on Weber and his own predatory actions. 👍👍👍👍👍
And there I was thinking where did your stories go. I liked them back then, hope you'll post new ones too
Well developed tale. I won't vote because I think that if you play stupid games you should get stupid prizes and either Kurt or Lydia or both should have won at least a permanent limp.
All could have been avoided by being honest. Where was the husband when she cheated?
An unjustified ending, it's like rewarding the betraying slut for her actions.
Now this is the Ephesus14 I like.
Great story.
But to comment about the story:
Lydia was, in my opinion, really a despicable wife of Fred's.
Good thing her current husband Roland didn't think bad about her.
I guess I love it that it turned out alright for everyone.
Thanks Ephesus14.
A decent btb tale, with some realism in it. The ending has been too much rushed and cold, appearing emotionless and irrealistic. One paragraph more would have been good for a better conclusion. Maybe there is space for a short epilogue in another tale. Good tale, anyway.
Nah. Too far beyond the pale. Maybe you should reconsider these numerous repostings.
This was an enjoyable, highly improbable, tale. But at one point I was expecting the ultimate irony and was a little disappointed it didn't happen: I thought for sure some tragedy would befall the parents and he and Joanie would end up adopting Sarah.... that would have been an epic twist worthy of O'Henry
Agree with ReedRichards, the only saving grace is this asshole did not have any children.
"She was my daughter, but you were my husband. I loved you both, but I knew I had to choose between the two of you. I chose you..."
How poignant, touching and even correct, to some extent, this phrase of her confession and remorse sounded... But, fucking bitch, couldn't you have thought before when you had a choice between staying faithful to your husband or having an affair with your lover for one weekend?
Requires a willing suspension of disbelief. At any given time there are 40,000 soldiers assigned to Fort Hood (Cavasos) with another 40,000 in dependents and civilian workers. The idea that one little old lady meets every one of them is one of the places this story falls apart. But overall I did like it. It’s been long enough that I only vaguely remembered reading it previously.
I read this when it was originally posted and thought then and still think that (a) Fred was far too nice to his ex and (b) this has a weird stalky vibe to it. And I don't mind the revenge by busting up Weber's marriage, but I have difficulty thinking that Weber's wife went straight to divorce based on the bare, unsourced information (as it is presented here) that she got anonymously in the mail.
Reg,
It could have been written as you describe but then instead of literature level writing it would have been trite and boring.
One helluva story.
Although I think adulteresses are usually dealt with too easily in LW stories, Lydia is an interesting and sympathetic character. Unlike the usual stories in which the the wife who is pregnant by another man, Lydia doesn't attempt to commit paternity fraud, adopts the child out, and in other ways shows true repentance. Despite my btb tendencies, the author could have done a genuine, convincing reconciliation in this story. I'm not suggesting that he shouldn't have written the story as he did, but even with her limited character development, a "Lydia " is an usually sympathetic and forgivable character. Reading the story, I found myself musing about whether I could forgive such a woman. Oddly enough, I might be able to. Fine writing, as usual, by Ephesus.
Explain, dear author, this is the thing - you repeatedly mention Lydia's refusal of red meat and the forced imposition of such a diet on her husband Fred in the process of narration... Does this artistic technique indicate that Lydia, preferring only white meat in her diet, allegorically made it clear that she prefers everything white and light? And, in particular, blonde and blue-eyed men - for intimate meetings? You haven't really answered the questions: Was that unfortunate weekend really the only one? Then - what were the circumstances and prerequisites of this sudden adultery on the part of Lydia? And is she telling the truth about "only one weekend" with Weber, how long the affair with him really lasted, and did other blonde lovers appear in Lydia's life, and Mr. Weber was just unlucky in getting her pregnant?
As good as it gets, with the possible exception that we never learned anything about who seduced who in the Kurt and Lydia affair.
Great story once again. Are there any changes from the original?
Why were your stories deleted?
"I moved some other boxes and put that box among them trying to make it look like I hadn't seen it." - Why? Isn't he going to confront her?
\
"How do I even bring it up?" - Um, show her what he found?
\
What was she planning on doing if he was home for the birth?
\
"Command and General Staff College (C&GS)" - If you use the full name, there's no need to tell us the initials. In the opposite case, if you use the initials, you might want to tell us the full name.
Excellent story.
It was one of the first I remember reading of yours years ago.
I like how he was able to control himself after finding out what a horrible person he was married too. Once he figured out what she was...what she had done to him? There was no understanding. No trying to understand. Little empathy. It was over.
He actually grasped the horrific magnitude of what she had done to him...and it was over.
Also...if she fucked around on him and got pregnant the one time that he knows about? It probably means she was lying to him when she said "one weekend". If a woman cheats and gets caught one time? It probably means she was cheating repeatedly, but was only caught the one time. Women are so much better at hiding affairs.
As for Weber? I liked what was done to him. Weber was actually lucky that there was no physical retribution visited upon him. This fucker was probably hitting on married women all the time. And women who were married to soldiers! To men serving in combat and in harms way. And he's fucking their wives behind their backs. He's scum. And his own wife DESERVES to know what he is and who she is married too.
Thanks for reposting this.
Screw that, he should have extracted himself from the whole deal at the end. What a slap in the face to hear how beautiful his ex slut is and be asked about the guy that cuckold him. Still a good story. I like how this author writes.
Fairly pedestrian tale, until the last half of the last page. That was as good a writing as it gets.
Stepping back and asking yourself; "What is the value of this story on this website or any?" Car crash, cheating wife, child given up for adoption, men that can't father children, shitheads who can...yikes. If you want bad news and heartbreak, just read the news. There's nothing erotic about this type of story. There's no hero in the end. It's a shame this obviously talented, imaginative author couldn't craft an erotic, compelling story.
"We had only taken a week's leave so I had to get back to Alaska, but Joanie stayed to help everybody get ready for the big day. I flew back to Alaska, promising to be back two days before graduation.
The day before I was to go back to Killeen, the PI called me..." - here on these paragraphs, I really, almost shit myself... I had already thought that Kurt Weber had been found and arrived on the eve of the Sarah (Hope) holiday. And what's next? Well, the worst part is that Joanie and Lydia go out to their husbands and, looking at the floor, alternately make the following speech: "Forgive us, Fred and Roland... There shouldn't be secrets between spouses, right? We can't explain it, but it just happened. And maybe we're both pregnant with blonde-haired children with blue eyes..."
You didn't end it the way I thought you would. I expected something to happen to Dwight and Sammie, leaving Fred and Joannie as her guardians. It would have made an interesting struggle for Fred to accept. Then, the irony of ending up with his almost daughter that his ex-wife regrets giving away as his daughter and never telling Lydia...
Smaller world than ppl think. This one was edited well ty for the reread lol. Seeing how for the most the ppl seem to have been traveling through life in the same circles so it isn't that unheard of for chance encounters.
It was good story until the "ending". Very abrupt. 4 stars because of the ending.
I remember this one. It does pull at your heart strings but I’m not sure that eighteen years was enough punishment for Lydia
What a heart breaking story at first, however you turned it into a warm wonderful loving heart wrenching story! Thank you for this tale. 5+*
Romance really, but I'm glad it was here or I'd have missed it. 5 stars no question.
IMHO it is kind of drawn out and boring. There was very little emotion in it.I appreciate you posting it though.
So, she got pregnant while he was there, or she got pregnant while he was away. Both scenarios indicate that he can't count.
Very well written. For a straight story on a porn site to keep your interest it has to be really good. 5*
5 stars. I like a continuation but if you decide to end it as it is I love it too. I know a family close to me with a similar story/situation but different ending. Thank you.
I like how he kept her wear about from his ex for so long. When she asked why and the new husband put her down I would have smiled at her and said "revenge maybe?"
Great story. But how did she spend a weekend with the guy and her husband not know? I reread her confesion to make sure I understood correctly, that she got pregnant before the husband left on TDY.
A great story though I agree with Splitgeode66, the ending is a bit abrupt. Well worth the time spent reading it.
Excellent. The ending was a perfect full circle for Lydia. Fantastic odds and happenstance but very real human interaction.
5 stars for sure. The only glitch was Lydia having sex with her weekend lover without any protection and while she was in her fertile period. What did she expect might happen [and did]? Didn't even take the morning after pill?
Beautiful story. The Bear loved it, even with the shitty way she treated Fred. 5 stars, the Bear approves, for what it's worth.

THEN I read your bio. I thought I recognized this story. Still Great. You fooled the Bear. Don't know what your age is, but I'm a Vietnam vet. Thanks for coming back.

Unless a father is completely abusive, the kids will not believe that they are better off without him.
.
Saying that the kids will be better off if the couple divorce is the argument adults use to justify divorce; the kids never feel that way.

Yes, I have sinned before; is there anyone here who has not?
I have read many a story on this site. But this one hit me in the gut. A very long time ago, I was married to a women who was the love of my life. I was in service at the time. I came home to find my wife had given birth to a child. I was the not the father. I have no idea if it was a boy or a girl or who the father was. She shot her self in the head before I could get the weapon away from her. To this day, I wish she would have just talked to me.
,
The last paragraph moved my rating from four stars to five. Good job, for a somewhat convoluted story.

Very well done. Touching story. In my opinion, this could be published, be a novel even.
Just sayin’.
I came for a good hot sexy story... And finished reading this instead... It was really good! 5 stars all the way. Maybe a slightly rushed ending wrap up, but it was still great!
This one really tugged at my heart. Her betrayal was amplified by the deception of stillbirth. Thats a real psychological trauma to a man, to find out it was staged is terrifying. I had a friend who's spouse argue with him one time, and during the argument, she revealed that two of his children are not his. To this day, that statement haunts me.
think i read a VERY similar or maybe even this one a LONG time. heart wrenching VERY well done.5*
What an excellent story! This is one that I hadn't read before and i thank you for the honor. I would wish that in the future maybe, you could add to it but I won't hold my breath. Thank you and your story is deserving of the highest praise, liking how you ended it and leaving a feeling of anxiety in my chest. Not many have done that. 5 BIG HUGE STARS! Again, thank you.
The story was good with enough twist and turns to keep you going I am surprised that There was no more half brothers and sisters in the mix. but still it was a good Read. The ending I think came up short but not as bad as most the Stories here. Will there be a sequel?
The probabilities of colliding occurrences were beyond the pale, but yet, believable... I noticed Lydia never once apologized or even tried for reconciliation... I guess the blood in her veins were cold as ice... one of the better stories on this site... 5-stars.
