Inside, Diane tried for fifteen or twenty minutes to assemble some rational thoughts. The best she could come up with was, "Jesus Christ! What the hell am I doing?"

A soft knock at the door, and then a vision of sweetness and light glided in. Cathy Polischuk. Okay, thought Diane. We'll save rational thought for a more appropriate time.
