I liked the way you dealt with her diving into the pool on both ends. I guess the good stuff begins in chapter two. Besides, I think she's gotten herself sufficiently drunk now.

It took reading half of the chapter before I knew if the parent was the mother in law or the father in law. A little more character art up at the beginning would be good.
