Just my opinion: I don't think it possible that only her influence was involved in his change of character. You mentioned that he went berserk before she left for college and that it ended their relationship? Okay... yes, maybe that's what you said. Ignore question one. But even before that, while growing up she could see that things were changing between them - am I right in deducing that these were not normal or healthy changes? Maybe a good dose of anti-psychotics could help?
