Obviously, this is another triumph of wonderful writing. I love the way the reader (in this case, me) is at the start somewhat confused, and then gradually through the short story enough is revealed for the reader (me) to understand exactly what is going on! Normally, I don't enjoy vampire stories, but this one I liked! It's kind of a new twist on the 1983 movie The Hunger, starring Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, and Susan Sarandon, although your story is delightfully sexier. Congratulations, Bellie! 5* ~~ JB

Yes!

An interesting (and interestingly) told story. Very different. Nothing like a little imagination with a bunch of sex thrown in to start the day.

Interesting idea but questionable motive

The Daz's reaction only makes sense if this is the immediate aftermath of just finding out. Actual love fails to be a light switch that he can just flick off because it's inconvenient to his world view. As said, though it is an interesting idea, it just needs a hell of a better motivator... like Katya killed or turned his brother/sister/mother someone close to him... actually turning them would be best because it would be poetic. Maybe make them terminally ill but devoutly religious.

Even in that case, given three decades of concerted effort from a vampire like Katya? And Daz's resistance would be toast. Frak, all she would really need to do is abduct him & then brainwash him into turning his hate back into love. Given the flakiness of his hate motivation; Who's to say he wasn't brainwashed to hate her to begin with... by her parents maybe?

If Katya was like in Twilight, then she would be less able to use sexual torture... but the brainwashing option would still be an option. However, she is not; She is the exact opposite of Edward.

Don't normally read vampire stuff but your last story gave a compulsion for reading, wasn't disappointed at all. Kind of wish there was more. Gentili@charter.net

Awesome story. I would love a sequel or a prequel with a more in-depth look at Katya's obsession and maybe see her committing atrocities over the years due to both being a vampire and her obsession with Darren.

Never read a better vampire story. 10/10
