I have no clue if leapyearguy suffers from amnesia.. part 1 and part 2 just don’t gel together!!!
Hah!!!!! The stupid bitch got hers alright.
Scores 4/5 because the MC is a moronic dumbass.
You can’t get an annulment without notice to the other party. It seems that our government recently, like you, has forgotten what “Due Process” means.
Funny ending, hope the bitch really hurts and her scumbag family, maybe not the grandma.
Excellent! 5 stars. Yes, there were holes in it but hell, can't a guy exercise a bit of artistic licence?
PART 1 - Disappointing messed up story, not worth the time to read.
Some authors think they are so clever, but are really dumb.
The wrong joke! The wrong twist at the end that makes the hero (and the author) the villain after readers invest in them.
I don't like giving a 1 or 2 for hard work, but I really thought about it. Then, remembering how much garbage was on the site I went with an average 3.
PART 2 - The author, thinking he was clever tried another twist. It fell so flat it was two dimensional. This time I am giving the 1.
part 1 & 2 were inconsistent, not in terms of facts, but in the flow of the story. It felt like they were written by 2 totally different authors who only shared a limited set of facts with each other.
I give it 2/5 for having 40% of a story. Give us the rest and I’ll update my rating
Does money make the story better? Why do so many LW authors inject millions of dollars into their narrative? Is it to give it real value? The mc says that he doesn't care about the money so why should we?
LWlurker
Was the baby his? MC is a moron. 55 million is nothing to laugh it. Hell, he probably could have gotten half. 200 million
SUNNY! You are the moron, commenting on a story that you obviously didn't read.
Dan is an immature, self-pitying, self-righteous man-boy who is incapable of conducting an adult conversation with his unfaithful wife. Man up and deal with her head-on, you wuss.
You. Can't. Get. A. Divorce. Or. An. Annulment. Without. The. Other. Party. Knowing. About. It. YOU IDIOT.
LYG had more concept than energy and enthusiasm for this submission. The plot is too complex to be adequately developed in the 1.75 pages the author produced. Both the rationale behind the establishment of the trust and its specific terms were not made at all clear. On his deathbed, Bill knew 3 facts: 1) He was dying. 2) His grand-daughter's marriage was in crisis. 3) The terms of the $450 million trust he had established for her were in dire jeapordy of not being fulfilled. Nonetheless, Bill makes no mention of the trust to the MC. His entire legacy was dependent on the successful implementation of the trust's provisions, but he made no dying effort to recruit his grandson by marriage as an ally in ensuring his plans would be fulfilled. WTF? The grand-daughter, a physician no less, was aware of her husband's sterility and the vital importance of her successfully becoming a mother. Why not tell her husband about the trust and its stipulations and work out a mutually agreeable plan to ensure she would conceive a child? She could still plan to cheat him out of any significant financial benefit from the trust if that were her nature. Such a plan would have been no less likely to fail than was her plan to slut around behind his back until she managed to get a bun in the oven and then attribute paternity to her unwitting cuckold. Getting caught in that betrayal was an almost certain way to kiss $450 million goodbye
What the heck do you mean he wouldn't get much after taxes and attorney's fees... if he had divorced her he would have gotten half of $459M... he would still come out with over $200M after taxes and lawyer's fees... talk about a moron.
I liked it, but so much didn't make sense. A journal would not lead to an annulment. And suck it up a wee little bit, grasp that your wife is a heinous monster, get your 9 mil ( or more if you want to fight for it), tell her to fuck off, protect your new wealth, then retire comfortably to a nice tropical locale with hand job nursey woman.
Derp.
And make sure you told surfer dude's wife
No one will get this one. Cause everyone have greed. And greed overrides morality.
The MC have balls, I'll say that. It is my first time reading a story like this. Awesome one. Perfect 5 star.
I went 2 stars. The diary would not lead to an annulment by itself. There would need to be more factual prove.
So let's say, get the proof needed, dicker for as much money as possible. Move the money out of the country and bail. Or wait till she goes for divorce, snag some more money and maintenance. Then move out of the country.
OK, it is just a story. as farfetched as that may be. However, in this story the husband is an idiot. Take the money and go after the handjob queen he is lusting for anyway. With a few millian dollars you can live happily ever efter.
Fiction no doubt. The story was just that... a story. He screwed her, left her almost broke and pregnant.
Unpleasant little story that didn't make much sense. There was nothing about way the characters' behaved in the first part that could lead logically to their behaviour in the second. The plot was more than fanciful and neither hubby nor wifey engendered any empathy. Not for me.
LA
Umm he thinks after taxes and lawyers their wouldn't be any money left? Umm lol he is principled but apparently can't do math.
Were parts one and two even the same story? It's like the author took mescaline after part one and wrote the second part under it's influence. Really, really bizarre. Thank God it's fiction. Just not good fiction.
The whole money conspiracy was a cute twist but felt like the story was yanked from reality into the twilight zone. A far, far more likely and realistic reason she was lying and slutting around would be that she like so many other women these days was a self-entitled narcissists who was addicted to the perceived feeling she got from doing it because she could, and the feeling of domination over her husband that it had given her.
MUCH better than part 1. Thank you for pulling his head outta his ass. 5 stars. DMW aka
Judging by some of the previous comments, not many understand what he did to her by having the marriage annulled. An annulment means, legally, the marriage never existed, which means she never satisfied the terms of the will... which means she doesn't get a single penny.
.
The will would have provisions for what should happen in case she failed to meet the criteria in the time frame allowed, and that's what would happen. The story IS a bit silly in regards to how the annulment could be obtained: the judge would obviously need to hear the wife's side of the story before granting anything.
.
Also, she's a doctor for pity's sake, so she could have seen to impregnating herself in much easier and more scientific ways... without the risk of being discovered. Still a good story, 4 stars. Thanks for posting.
Geez, four hundred fifty nine million dollars??? Down the drain?? Are you friggin' nuts?? Morals, ethics, self righteousness be damned...that's a helluva lot of money.
I like this story's morality concept -- "What's worth more -- principles, or money?"
.
This one has a rarely used ending on this website, an ending in which the MC does NOT end up with all the money and a better girl.
Here, the MC chose his principles over the money (along with delivering a healthy dose of karma).
He ends up a poorer man, but one that can walk with his head held high. Say what you will, you have to admire a man who sticks by his principles -- especially when doing so comes at a cost. Plus, he still has the possibility for a new and better girl.
.
Only those of us who don't put a high value on self-respect would think him an idiot or moron -- which, not too surprisingly, includes many previous commenters! Maybe these people should ponder the famed lines "We have established 'what' you are, madam. Now, we're just haggling over price".
.
Excellent effort! Five *'s
AH HA A story that I actually love Well done Most of the other stories I have read of yours are like fairy tales I WILL try a few more and if you think I only read one or two I have read over 2000 (YES 2000) storied on loving wives (jaybee186)
Good story. But I might have taken the $3 million per year @ 14 years, which is north of $50m plus the $9M she forfeited withe postnup on the inheritance. That is like 11% out of $450M. Staying separated for 16 months, provided my name is not on the birth certificate of the child, is no big deal. Regardless there is no way he had $9M for the postnuptial disappear in taxes and lawyer fees for probate and family law. It wasn't the OJ Simpson trial.
What bullshit! He got 9 million for his wife cheating! There were no lawyers involved in that agreement which would result in a huge lawyer bill!
I like your writing and I felt the approach in part 2 was clever, except the wife was soo cold.
I really enjoyed this story because it resonated with me and it drives home that point that everyone has a different set of values and impulses. Me, like your main character, I would rather piss away millions of dollars than let a lying conniving asshole get their way.
Pretty good . That's a lot of money. she should have been upfront from the beginning.
This upsets the forgive into an emasculated future folks but you can't please everyone.
why would a doctor with money screw in a parking garage to try to get pregnant? that is not believable. and this story deserves a real ending with some detail and conclusion it just slammed into a wall suddenly....I hate that in stories
