Sorry, it does not wash. A princess is not going to automatically climb into the bed of a cad. And he could not dismiss her guards like they were flies. You created a universe, and then broke the rules you created just to shock the reader. Not a good plot device...

Bribe the guards or use magic to get around them. Recalling how cold his hand was🤔, maybe he is not human?
