I am just guessing here... but I foresee problems in Jacksonville and LA for this trip. Love this tale and looking forward to more 5 stars as usual.

Little quibble - 4pm PT departure, 5.5 hrs flight time, 3 hrs. ET difference is 12:30 arrival, not 10. Great chapter, a real sense of motion and activity. Thanks for writing.

From 2nd Lieutenant (proper pronunciation is Left tenant) to Captain is a big jump-unless Redwolf was a Maverick.

Seriously, a 2ndLt has issues; The 2nd Lieutenant invariably stumbles over the doorstep when entering a building. Holds their arms out like wings, runs around the room and makes airplane noises when watching Top Gun. When in a combat zone, the 2ndLt is only issued a water pistol and when doing drill, calls out commands in a Mickey Mouse voice.

In the US most officers unless they do something insanely stupid goes from 2nd LT to Captain in four years from commissioning. Then they are stuck at Captain rank for about a decade. So while its a bit of a jump its not a massive one. Its likely Niko was about to get bump up to 1st LT. So going to Captain isn't that big of thing.

Jacksonville native here (DUUUVAL), so I'm looking forward to what quirky storytelling you have with that trip. Also for the life of me I don't recall Piper being from Jacksonville, so that's a bonus.

We absolutely love this storyline! Our only gripe is that they are never long enough! LoL but if you wrote 2,000,000,000 words it wouldn't be enough! Keep going ! We will be waiting for your next piece of work!

Aw, darn. I keep hoping that you'll remember to use the secret wings of the house in a chapter. I know it won't be for a while, of course, because the cast will be out and about the whole country. But don't let that be an under-utilized plot thread, please.

Enjoying the story a lot but really wish there was more meat to a chapter. Something around 10-20k to sink my teeth into.

A 5 of course. I am glad there are so many authors jumping in. I am still convalescing from a car accident on October 4. They operated on my right hand on November 17. Can you imagine if all you could do with your right hand was hold a stylus. No serious typing. But it will soon be healed and just a bad memory. In the meantime, great stories to read.
