"I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting you to say there, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't it. Come on, let's get to it."

Neither was exactly rushing, and their latest teammate wasn't exactly conscious to help out either. By the time all of the little domestic things were done, the sun was already setting on that fair Saturday evening. They shared the bed once more, Shannon snuggled into Adam like she wanted to mold herself to every nook and cranny of him. No matter how much she had on her mind, though, the peace she found there rapidly banished her wakefulness. Before she even heard his snores, her eyes closed, and sleep came swiftly.

Excellent chapter 5/5

I don't have any idea haw I missed this chapter until now.... I've been reading some other stuff (mostly STEM related from different sites) and I just got back to cycling through the QT universe authors. I did reread this line from the beginning, and it is quite enjoyable. Thank you Otterly for the chapter, and I hope your life has smoothed out....

As a suggestion to other readers tempted to whine about: length of chapter, time spent waiting, or any other pettiness, I usually feed my fetish by returning to the very beginning, a very good place to start. Reminds me of all the players in the game and why I started following OMb so I’m primed (please forgive the pun) to appreciate the brilliance of OMb’s next submission, not to mention exploring all the other corners of the Quarenteam Universe.

To OMb, I well understand that life happens despite our plans, and thank you for sharing your creative talents with us. Your characters are believable and easy to like.

Very well-written. I somewhat expected Shannon's scars to heal in dramatic fashion due to the hints about regeneration from the original and BTB spinoffs, but did not expect her to basically become the person she would have been without the car accident. So that's been very entertaining. I like that you're going a somewhat different direction with yours than the others. Can't wait to see what's next!

And for the clairvoyant: not quite. I know what way Callie is going, and that isn’t it. At least… not for her. And I’ll leave it at that! 😈
