And not entirely temporal. I think I must study some alternative campaign planning! Well done darling Pix. Love as always G xxx
I missed commenting on the previous chapter so I can only say that the two combined are up to your usual standard. With the political entanglements, little Rahab is living in interesting times (I hope they are not the curse that the Chinese intended them to be). I'm sure most of your readers will recognise the hermit in Rahab's vision but I'll say nothing more about that---don't want to include a spoiler in my comment. Great work as always, Pixie.
Once again, dear Pixie, you have outdone yourself. This chapter was incredible. I especially loved how Rahab compared her military strategy to her love-making with Ana.
In particular, I found the following passage to be wonderfully delicious - as I am sure you knew I would :)
'My darling, I think I see it, but only you could liken a military campaign to you sucking my toes; speaking of which.'
With that unspoken thought, I broke off to do just that. I sucked at each toe as though it was her bud, licking and then sucking; all the while playing with her feet.
Well, Rahab's lessons should be part of all strategic management courses - once you get them past HR!!
Thank you, your appreciation inspires me. I am glad you recognised the figure in the vision :)
Glad to see you, too, recognised the figure. I appreciate so much your commenting, and look forward to seeing how you respond to the next developments.
Once again you write a cracking good chapter. I love how Rahab takes charge of the intimate time with Ana and varies her technique to show how the unexpected can be very effective.
Rahab seems to be digging deep into her reserves now as she recounts her life story, it's adding a different twist to the whole effect, brilliant. Thank you

I am glad you picked up that part of it, that this is Rahab near the end looking back. Thank you for your appreciative comments xx
You bring so much historical details and so much connection to our histories in your tales, further more wisdom and so I'd like to use your first sentences from this chapter to add some
Your beginning:
"Empires are, I think, male. They thrive on aggression, ambition, and a desire for riches and power. I like what riches bring, but I can sleep in only one bed, live in only one place and eat only one meal at a time. There is something in the drive for Empire I do not understand. I think that like the male sex drive it is to do with possession and the instant and insistent satisfaction of desire. There is a pleasure in the chase and the taking which I lack."
Yes its unfortunately the truth that money wealth power ranking always have been the human great "inspirations" and after thousands of years without no further movement within this ground philosophy we are still having wars ..... "But WAR what is he good for, absolutely nothing...!!!" ..... There's no winner only loser in a war ..... The winner in the end loses so much too, beloved ones, material, power, money, economic and much more, so who wins? ..... And so yes there is only one bed, one bathroom, one dress, one meal, and much more likely ..... But we call it technology, human intelligence, wisdom or feel free to add some more ..... Are we blinded or want we not discover our past and the here and now? ..... Its still like with the romans in th e colosseum " bread and games for the society" ..... And now in 2021 hopefully we come to grips amd realize some, but there is hope left we are not able to act anymore
Sorry pixxie for using this wonderful story tale for sich harsh words, but you put so much work in it so the connection from your tale and the old sayings, the wisdom from the past is our hope today
Fabulous work
Oh thank you so much - I think you bring a wonderful perspective to these things xx
To explain military strategy with an intimate example is something I’ve never seen before is truly inspirational. I wonder if it could be applied to chess … only joking! I’m already in awe of your beautiful writing style but this seems very special, even unique. Thank you for sharing it.
