Road Tripping Pt. 16.5 - Time Trip Pt. 05

The Men fed the women three caps first followed a moment later by the women feeding the men once they were done eating theirs.

Leandros thought to himself as he ate them. Zephyra was not kidding about how bad these tasted. They tasted like the smell of some of the odd substances some Egyptians used to paint and seal some of their wooden and reed boats with.

Zephyra kept Leandros and Myrine until all the other couples had left. "Myrine I have something for you that is from Leandros. It is only partially done but I thought it would be a beautiful symbol of his love for you.

Zephyra took from another small, embroidered pouch a silver necklace that had the five deepest blue stones mounted in a center of a starburst pattern. "Orpheus said when he has completed the rest, he will make a clasp to join the two pieces. I have seen his design of it all and blessed the stones as have the Gods who thought they were lovely too, along with the one's for Althea."

"Come here my dear child. You did very well today and soon you will lead them to their chamber and stand watch, so no one disturb them tonight, as your first night as a Protector of this house and sacred places Althea."

"Leandros, I had something made for you, both as a symbol to join with Myrine's crystals and from me and the people's thanks for all you have done already for us and all you are destined to do for the people of Cortinarius. I noticed you had no green stones in your collection and there was only one we had available, but I had it put on this chain with one of your blue ones symbolizing you and your connection with Myrine and a clear stone to join the blue and green as one."

She had Leandros bend down as she placed the simple silver chain over his head and the clear, blue, and green trio laid across his bare chest like Myrine's stones above her tunic.

Once done she kissed his forehead and went and did the same to Myrine, before telling Althea. "Take them to their chamber now, I can see their eyes are beginning to show the effects of the mushrooms. Relax, stay open to each other, and enjoy my two loves.

Althea took the lamp she had brought with her and led the two up a different set of stairs to a small hall with a chamber covered with a tapestry and a small niche with a bed for the protector between the door and the larger hall. Tika was on Althea's bed asleep, and bowls of food and water were near the bed.

Zephyra and the two other women stayed behind with Jonas who now served Zephyra and the one who was not Pregnant three of the mushroom caps and another glass of wine while Jonas had another glass of the wine and one of the caps for now. He began to play a pair of small drums along with four others who now came into the chamber and brought different instruments to join in. Zephyra and the others communed with the Gods about the joining, their hopes for all involved, and for the rest of their land as they went out to see many in this world in the near future.

Zephyra was looking for any guidance they might provide to enlighten her decisions in the next days and year ahead with all of the discussed travel.

She felt the Gods did bless the unions of this night and let her know that what had happened here today was just another step in a way to bring all of their enlightenment to worlds that sorely needed their kind of philosophy both now and far in the future. She was shown another flash of the world far in the future where she had wandered about in the dwelling of the one called Star and had met her mother who looked like Basilia.

It was to this time far in the future that plans laid out here, which would help to bring their enlightened ways to a future world in need of ending violence, greed, and jealousy before all was destroyed forever.

At their chamber for the night Althea lit two braziers with hemp leaves and buds in them and showed them where more were for them if they liked along with water, wine, some fruit, and breads for later. Both kissed her forehead and told her to keep a good watch for them and they would see her in the morning when she was to bring them an early meal and retrieve the cloth with sacred blood from their first joining.

There was another tapestry covering a balcony looking out over the water. For a few moments as the mushrooms really began to take ahold of them, they took a moment to get some fresh air and share a silver cup of water. Lightning storms could be seen just on the horizon and working their way here for later in the night.
