good wind up with characters developing but suddenly a fast and simplistic ending, This could have been so much better.
It is always good to have a new story from Matt. Well done and 5 stars from me.
I was wondering what category, but I reasoned that as the spy was bonking the wife, I'd place it in my favourite category. Loving Wives.
5 stars short but very good and to the point write another one like this please
"How's it going, Tommy?" - "Tommy?" I thought Miles was talking to Paul?
\
"Not very sensible to use a false address associated with your German family" - How was that address associated with his German family?
\
Definitely kind of petered out at the end, with everything tied up in a neat bow,
Well done. Reads like a shorter & different version of the Netflix movie, "City of Angels"
Good and entertaining.
I love detective stories.
But I do feel it is iin a wrong category
though it does have the element of a cheating spouse.
Missed opportunity for a really good story. Loved the concept, liked the MC -- but there could have a lot more intrigue, etc.. in this story. Lots of Plot mechanisms to find the culprit easily. Way to quick an end. 4* for a good tale, but could have been so much more.
I liked it, though it did feel a big slow, but nonetheless it wasnt bad.
I do have to admit I saw the UK part of your name and thought "Wow, we;ll be getting that rare as a unicorn, cuck story".
But we didnt so that earned you an extra star.
I love the title, Mr. Black. Did you channel a bit of Mad Magazine's famous comic there? Thanks for posting, Randi.
Good one with a decent wrap up. Thought with all the Walthers and Lugers floating around that there might be a little gun play though.
Very difficult to wade through this. The third paragraph finally had 2 sentences! The opening sentence needed shortening to qualify as a run-on... The entire effort seemed more stream-of-conscience than cohesive story. Even after several readings, the first sentence of the second-to-last paragraph eluded understanding.
I liked it.
It had class.
Historic class.
And some fine writing.
The only thing bad about it,
was it being short.
Thanks for an entertaining story Matt.
4 out of 5 from me.
Seemed a little distant and unemotional: no characters a reader could get involved with, unlike your usual. Sorry, could only give it 3*.
Not really a Loving Wife story. Short and concise but rather routine in the narrative. Rated just a 3 as average.
