'Bisexual!' Cheyenne gasped even as she thought it, 'Aunt Marg is bisexual? Does that mean she is doing what I think she's doing? To my mother?'
There was silence again, and then her mother crooned, "We will be sister-wives except that we will love each other more!"
There was a pause and then her mom said loud enough that Cheyenne could have heard from her bed, "Yes! Yes, I want to be with you and Thomas, forever!"
'NO!' Cheyenne screamed in her head, 'No no no! No more men! Wasn't Larry enough? Didn't you learn from all your time with him? No!'
She tiptoed to her bed and threw herself across it. She wanted to kick and scream, but she was much too old for that, and then another thought occurred to her, 'Why mom? Why does she get to be happy? I sacrificed for the family. Why is mom the only one that got to move on? She wasn't the only one abused by Larry!'
She fell asleep to those questions circling in her head, and the beginning of a plan to thwart any plan her mother and aunt Marg had of making Thomas a permanent fixture of the household.

Anonymous7 months agoBig downturn here. Went off the rails. She's been celibate for 7 years (or 8, it changes). Then all of a sudden she's a lesbian with past relationships and opening whatever their relationship is up to a woman without talking to her male significant other. Was a great romance. Now it's just a common stroke story. I'm done and not reading anymore. I wish you put the relevant tags up so I didn't waste my time.
vanye12 months agoDidn't need to repeat the entire conversation between Leslie and Marg from Cheyenne's viewpoint. Also tragic that Larry abused his daughter like that.
Canmancanover 1 year agoit toke a turn for the worse. if Thomas left Heather for her fucking another guy, then I think if that fucked up his mind so bad, Margert fucking around would send him straight out of the house. also, you just don't leave a half billion to be unusable.

Foxterot7aover 1 year agoThe exceptional story is developing logically. The plot and subplots are being precisely intertwined in an appropriate timeframe and manner. In the past, as college students, Marg and Leslie were an item. Over a 24 year period, Marg and decesaed husband could not have children; Marg worried husband and Leslie could have children; Marg realized she is bi-sexual; Marg knows Thomas has made her pregnant. Therefore, Marg is now willing to share Thomas with Leslie. Throughout Leslie's marriage, she apparently never got to know her children well enough that Cheyenne could not tell her about her situation. This is story writing at its best.
