She had not been with anyone for ten years, but yet almost pounced on her son's friend - totally improbable, and it all just kept moving too quickly really.

I think there should have been more of a build up, as she would certainly have been nervous, and he would have needed clear signs before expecting anything from his friend's mother.

There are far worse stories on here, so not a total disaster.
