I looked down at June, "That was fantastic, June, but we need to get out of here. Can I drive you home, or would you like to come home with me? I have an apartment with a queen sized bed, and I can take you home whenever you want. I don't want the weekend to end. I don't want to see you go. We've got a lot of Summer Nights ahead of us, sweet June."

That got a lot of laughs from outside, especially when I stood up and banged my head against the roof of the camper. It didn't matter though; I had won more than I had ever dreamed possible at this contest and nothing was going to bring me down.

That's the Real Sagacious Style

Very well-written, just one "lay" for "laid", otherwise quibble-free. Hot, sweet, believable. You should have entered this story in Summer Lovin'; you would have had some tough competition, but this story is good enough to stand up (pun definitely intended) with the best of them. This is your real voice, a sweet, hot love story. Very well done!
