Great

This exercise allowed you to do what you seem to enjoy almost as much as sex: talk. I gathered from reading your stories on this site that you are, or were, a salesman and probably a very successful one, at that. It is a very successful expansion of the old Agatha Christie story of two strangers killing each others victims while establishing mutual alibis. Whether or not one accepts Frank's reasoning, it is still a tale of vengeance and a well-written one in my opinion. It's a refreshing change of pace from what we usually encounter.

Regards, Boyd

Too bad this one is fantasy

Wish this one were real. Well done, once again Dinsmore.

I wish.

You know, it's interesting. The people depend on the law enforcement agencies to handle the problems of society, while not taking any responsibility themselves. The thing to do is to step up to the plate, just like your characters and actually do something to handle people that are not interested in changing.

As always, great story.

Great story - great idea

Different from your usual stories and a great read. I kind of liked the concept.

that was a nice story!

i liked the end, young sob joined them, albeit unofficially, yet! totally enjoyable in my opinion. would be pretty cool for seniors to use their former skills to get scum like that off the streets!

If only it was reality.

not a negative comment in the pile

I am not adding mine. All of us wished that the victims of the crime be given more consideration. And the guilty were more severely punished. I have heard off-hand remarks that some drug pusher or pimp were out of jail before the arresting officer got the paperwork finished . not going on, you all see where you are headed and I am going the same way

Just what we need

I think this country could use a good dose of vigilanteism. Unfortunately, if this happened in real life, the damned liberal media, instead of helping like they did in this story, would try their best to crucify the ones who got rid of the criminal scum. Don't believe me? Look at what they did to Bernhard Goetz ( who happens to be a hero of mine). Rather than applauding him for taking out a gang of thugs, they eviscerated him for attempting to murder "children who were just engaging in some innocent panhandling". What a load of bull!!

I can lilke the wrong side as much as the next guy -

Especially when it is the right side - great tale - probably a great idea - BUT who decides? What are the limits? Humans tend to abuse whatever they have -

I am NOT raining on the parade - just thinking how out of control this might get if it really happened - would the stewardess get put down to protect the organization? that is the way the story usually goes then you need a moralist to put down the moralists - argh - no solutions are perfect - most are pitiful - we need a big dose of better -

Nice fantasy

Well scripted tale. Unfortunately, the dangers of vigilantism are very real, as demonstrated by Jim Crow. The likelihood of a group like this being totally honest, even handed and infallible is vanishingly small. We humans are way too good at justifying our actions, both to the world and more importantly to ourselves.

The thing that makes our system of government as good as it is is checks and balances and transparency.

Pretty Damned Good

Very well-crafted story, and I really liked the twist at the end. 5 Stars

A different and very readable story

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this short story. It was extremely well written with believable characters. I shall look forward to reading more of your non - erotic stories.

Death Wish

The Charles Bronson movies about a vigilante are still airing and popular. The problem is what happens if someone slips up and does in the wrong person because they aren't as careful and the others? Still a great story.
