As I was leaving the court room with my first heart-felt smile in some time, Marie's voice said, weakly, "Bob, we need to talk."

My smile broadened and my pace, leaving her behind, quickened.

Interesting story, but the wife's perspective was not at all clear.

Some really squirrely writing.

That was undoubtedly one of the weirdest stories I ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Your comical use of the three stooges shorts that showed those lawyer names and a few other silly things was a wonderful tip of the hat to some olde tyme comedy slapstick that still lives to this day. The characters were so over the top that it made everything that much more enjoyable. Thanks for taking the time and putting in the effort and talent to create a story that will be read over and over throughout the years while be using as a legal mood enhancer.

This is a great story. It showed that the bad guy with money can push but a few honest people can win if they don't care to deal with some grief.

@ForensicFossil - sorry to be a cynic. We are so fortunate to have mostly great public officials. They, unfortunately rarely make news or the pages of these stories

City Attorneys

This is probably the only story on Literotica in which a "young city attorney" is a hero. I appreciate this keenly, as I was a young city attorney before I became a middle-aged city attorney, and then an older city attorney.

I agree with the negative comments, however the core theme is ok and in the hands of a more competent author could make a good story.

Long time since I have read this chuckle-a-minute. Great style.

I'll up Buster2U's "10 Big Blazing Stars" with a couple of dozen Supernovas.

10 Big Blazing Stars for a very interesting Story! "Dear, we have to talk" stories are my favorite. I love them, This one story had all the worst parts of everyone that I have ever read before. Husband lost everything, but we had a "Happy Ending" in the end of which I liked. I always like a Happy ending. It could have been happier if Sally had a stripper sister that needed someplace to live and wanted to change her life around. HA! But there is a second chapter, so there is always hope! Hoping for either a busty Stripper or a Call Girl/ Prostitute next chapter for our hero. LOL I am hoping for one or the other. Thanks, for the effort. Buster2U

Very cynical story, but then again, I do love a cynical story. 5-stars even without any violence to enjoy.
