I just read on the internet that in Phoenix, AZ on June 21, 2017 the overnight low was 90 degrees, beating the former record high minimum temperature of 89 degrees.
(The high was 117.)
On that same day, June 21, 2017,
at 12:51 AM the temp was 98 degrees.
Obviously, 100 is not a common temp at 1 AM in Phoenix.
This is nitpicking trivia that does not devalue the story.
It's just for intellectual curiosity.
Further trivia for Oklahoma:
record high - 120
Set in several places one year; also in more than one year.
record low - 31 below
in 2011 at Nowata (between Tulsa and the Kansas border)
