...it's got boring. Apart from being sent to fix an IT system there is no discernible story line.

It's not meant to have a complex storyline, it's a whimsical piece where his expectation are turned upside down. If your looking for something more substantive read some of my other submissions, you'll find plenty of twists and turns in them.
