But I must say, your proofreaders really really need to be checking people's names in your text. They so often get transposed and confused. I had no trouble determining what names belonged there, so good proofreaders shouldn't either. That would put the glaze on the flourless chocolate cake.

My wicked mind wonders whether the story would have been improved by Darren seeing Masie and Jax making out and him making some announcement like
" Well it must be true that you get to become like the ones you live with. I am also having an affair with the site manager. I am gay and am in love with him."
