I love the story, but it's honestly starting to make me sad.

I want to like Steve but I really can't. He's completely wrong for even having sex with her because he did it to position himself in front of the other guys, knowing that he wouldn't make a true move. He needs to let her go. He says he's protecting his heart? Well what about hers? He's fine using her, making her fall for him yet not coming through? It's a bitch ass move imo. And saying he's only known her for three months is horse shit. That didn't stop him from having unprotected sex with her now did it?

I hope you weren't discouraged from finishing out your story because of the harshness in someone's comment. I'm a writer myself, so I was hoping for a redemption arc for Steve (character development and all). I just hope you finish this one out. It's too good to just let go.
