Good story. good style. I hope more comes. I like that the underdog wins for a change. This could go so many places. I wonder what Brian is going to think of the new Maddie and the new Mel for that matter.

Hi BWalker, thanks for your comment! I have more stories down the pipeline, a few of them serialised, but this will remain a standalone - still trying to develop my style if that makes sense. I did write an alternate "Maddie wins" ending with a lengthier epilogue, but I'm keeping it as an exclusive to my backers, as mentioned in my profile.
