Sadly I never thought the story would go anywhere, as I never expected anyone to actually read it. Sure it had an open ending, but the idea was given to me, and I for one, could not see how you could explain it all, without another epic book.

I can't say it needs anyone writing, as what more could you do with it?

The whole point was to make the story live within your own imaginations. It was not written for money or ego, or to make out I was a better writer than anyone else. Most stories today just have idiotic childlike endings as a reward. And I had never expected that anyone would even want a simple ending.
