Professional therapists know that on average it can take anywhere from 2-5 years to fully recover from infidelity. That's with regular cheating and affairs not the kind of humiliation, torment and physical and emotional abuse Danielle subjected Rick to. PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder, is a mental health condition that can occur after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. PTSD from cheating is often called “betrayal trauma.” This is because the betrayal of trust can be so damaging to the relationship that it feels like a traumatic event. And, just like with other forms of PTSD, the symptoms of betrayal trauma can be debilitating. So, to all the critics of Rick, he's not being whinny pussy. He's actually experiencing PTSD

Danielle's more worried about going to church than what she subjected her husband to. Typical hypocrite

I was about to give up and rate this story a 2, but I finished it and Rick finally got it together and overall a great read

I saw a comment about Rick having PTSD. I have friends who went through hell and back in Iraq and then when they got back home several of the wives ended up leaving them. They had either been unfaithful or couldn't deal. None of my friends ever acted like such a pussy as this dude and they have very real and serious cases of PTSD

Dude is trying hard, and he is realizing that he will not accept this. There are too many triggers for things too important to him.

This is still such a good story. It's easy to say, "Screw that slut, I am outta here!" That is a good answer.

But, this, to stand up some, to wreck the contract, stand up some more, exact some revenge, and then start to wonder if it can work out.

Then to realize, no, probably not, not and keep standing.

Still a good story. thank goodness not much extramarital unnecessary sex in this one, and to me, good sex is almost a requirement in a good literotica entry.

Still worth reading, still the best rating.

... thing's becoming a novel....

5*****. So he's finally woken up to the truth. Whos' John the children spoke of? I bet the teenagers Shelly nearly spoke of were Interns at Daniels workplace she fucked.

This story is incredibly repetitive. The same dialogue between the same characters over and over and over again. In this chapter the MC is very inconsistent. Showing extreme sorrow and regret to Tina, apologizing profusely. Then continuing with his passive aggressive narrative and repeating for the umpteenth time, "I can't stop seeing them in my mind. All those things you did but never with me blah blah blah." Yes. we get it at this point. Now finish the damn story, seriously, we're begging you.
