It seems that the whole story has little to do with non-consensual sex, it does have some reluctant sex and a guy with boner pills who talks dirty, but it's really focused on a woman discovering the issues in her married life that are unacceptable to her.
And okay I agree no one should just cheat to see if the grass is greener on the other side, but lets be honest she is just representing what happens to 60% of married people. Settling is something no solid marriage should ever suffer. A good marriage is based on two partners constantly working together to make their partnership better, stronger and more fulfilled. If one partner fails in these responsibilities and allows this to carry on over time - they have essentially abandoned their partner. Abandonment both emotionally and physically is proper grounds for divorce in every state. She now knows that her husband has, from the beginning, totally abandoned her and her needs, and not just sexually. His abandonment of her has placed her in this state and she is coming alive and recognizing what she could/should have been. She needs to go home and confront her husband about his abandonment.
