I just love that line "...my love life is a chequered mess of comical proportions..." It's got to be the best description of buggered up relationships that I've ever heard. And I was laughing at the bits about Fiona's mother (Hyacinth Bucket, eat your heart out!). Another enjoyable chapter, Shaima. I know I've said similar things before but you are so good at writing about personal relationships and interactions. Whatever you do, cling on to that special talent.
