I enjoy this so far, but the fact that only Mina amongst the magical community, (so far) isn't a complete asshole to the protagonist is definitely starting to wear thin.

I know that this is just scene setting still, but with fragments of history and plot, but it still hooks me in and makes me want to read more. Excellent writing!
