And i concur with the other comments here, wishing for a Sophie to walk into their (and my own) lives. A woman like that, funny, sexy but not bitchy, down to earth and generally level headed, child or nor, i wouldn't want to let her go either, if i ever find such a rare specimen.

Seriously, this is the first story I have read of yours but it will not be the last. The only negative I can think of is the few slips in the words - and there are only a few - where it is clear you meant one word but another one was entered (that was a correctly-spelled word and thus missed the spell checker). I loved the story and gave you a well deserved "five" because I couldn't make it any higher.

i actually cried while reading this bc i used to have a relationship like this (me being sophie)...im married now and the passion isnt there. i've put on weight and my husband works insane hours. this reminded me of a tenderness that i miss. very excellent writing. steamy, romantic, funny and real.

Very heart-warming tale

This is probably one of THE BEST stories I've ever read. And not just on here, but in general. It was witty, funny, clever, sexy, sensual, loving, and any other good adjective someone could come up with. I hope this doesn't sound too gushy but it was so refreshing to finally read a story that affected me this much-in a good way. ;) I love their characters-they sound like really fun people to be around. And even though the story was five pages, it never felt long. In fact, I didn't want it to end...I could read about this couple all day haha. Seriously though, amazing job! You should be really proud of this. =D-SK

You seem to need a sequel, to assure the readers that Sophie's daughter happily fits into this 'new' family picture, that now includes Connor and Sophie. Or, is it vice versa? Doesn't have to be a long one, though you might want to include something about their in-laws, and such. And, isn't Connor going to finish his PhD? And, who watches her daughter since she's not there? And, etc.!

Idling away the afternoon as New Year's Eve approaches, I got saturated with football bowl games and yet didn't want anything too demanding of my attention. Then I remembered this story and re-read it in its entirety. It was as captivating as it was the first time, and I wanted to let you know that the charm of your characters and their delight in finding each other still appeals to me.

This is a magical story. Its only fault is that it's too short. What happens when the daughter wakes up? Does he move into her apartment? Do they get married right away or live together for a while? Do they go to meet each other's family? Where do they go after he graduates? What about vacations -- Canadian Rockies? Any more children coming along? This could grow into a novel, and a good one at that!!

this story ranks about twelve! Tender, sweet, sexy, it says that people are more than just an assortment of genitals, although the genitals are important, too. As I read it I visualized a little liquor store I often patronized in rural Massachusetts, which had a bell over the door and a counteer that would have been just the right height for Sophie to hop up onto and sit. You really can describe an alluring fantasy in a way that lets me visualize the whole thing, almost as if it were real. And I wish it were.

One thing puzzles me. The times I have shacked up for a night in a girl's apartment, all most all of them took a quick douche between sessions rather than all this tissue wiping and squeezing to clean up. The other nice thing about a douche you can get some new flavors during the eating out.

Sexy as all get out, well written and deserving of a sequel if you ever feel like it. Knowing about the little daughter, etc, there is a tale to be told there I think? But then again I am not one to demand a sequel :) f

While "Things That Go Hump In The Night" is a definite masterpiece, I do not see what the hoopla is over this one. Connor emerges as a bland, dull character that is not overly nice....a lot of men accept women with children, why does the author make such a big deal over this? Also, so he didn't screw her the very first day...big deal!! He screwed her royally a week later, someone he barely knew anything about, and of course everything worked out absolutely perfectly. This is so far removed from real life it is almost laughable. In real life, whether you are "nice" or not has little if any bearing on the potential partners you meet by luck or design. Again, I really was not convinced Connor was all that nice...he was horny and wanted this particular woman and therefore "arranged to be nice". As for the sex scenes themselves, they were way too long and overdone. While I enjoy meat ravioli, I would not want to eat three dozen at one sitting. Stefan J. treats sex in an almost analytical fashion, giving the reader a description that sounds like a weather report. I would like to imagine some of the hot scenes for myself, not having them mapped out in excruciating detail. It's interesting to note the parallels with Things That Go Hump..... In both cases the female protagonist fits the typical society stereotype of a beautiful woman. In addition, the girl is the pushy aggressor, and in both intstances leaves a gift of panties. My guess as to why this story got so many votes is that it satisfies a lot of people's fantasies. (Gee, I was always hoping that would happen to me!!). Unfortunately, you have more of a chance of winning the Powerball lottery than having this particular fantasy happen to you...why high quality gorgeous women like this come in to seedy bars everyday...haha!! Makes you wonder why the author took the time and trouble to write about such a one in a million event. Hmmmmm.....

Life's not all rosy, all the time; but mature people do learn from their mistakes.

We also know what usually happens to those who don't think mistakes are mistakes, or who fail to learn from them and continue to engagement in what they might call "thrilling" activities (by cheating on spouse, by having orgies and being exposed to uncounted viruses and bacteria on humans who engage with countless other humans, etc.): they ended up badly used, abused, sick, or even dead.

On a lot of these stories, it is usually ended, after two pages: "Oh, my god, I just had the best sex; a stranger, so loving, so different from my husband,,, he's so hot, with such a big dick, going up my butt, something I never let my husband do; I'm in love. I can't wait for our next encounter" so on and so forth,,,

Come on, let's see at one story --- a few months to a year down the road --- where the person was given gonorhea, clamydia, and other STD's or possibly HIV.

In fact, in the real world, this is more prevalent than it is believed; 'tis why every year close to 15 million cases of STD's are reported --- the reported cases only! --- and millions of people are exposed to viruses like HIV, etc.
