Maybe I'm a bit off, but

I imagined your protagonist speaking in Joe Friday's voice. Thanks for the pleasant 5 minutes.

Mickey Spillane was never better - can safely say you didn't pattern this after ANY story found on Literotica. There hasn't been anything this original since the first week of this platforms existence! Thank you for a great way to start the day (I pictured Lucy under a hand lettered sign saying 10 cents.

Fantastic little story.

And here I was worried

because lately your writing seemed a bit too morbid. Now I’m relieved.

5* thank you

What a surprise! How fun!

This certainly is off the beaten path for Lit - and certainly deserves 5 stars. Thanks for sharing

Not bad

What's not to like about Mickey Spaniel story? The detectives were tough, but their bark seems to more their bite. Even though they were up to their eyeballs in Puppy Love, they were not going to take any Shih Tzu. They were going to get their money, make no bones about it.

Cracked me up! I was researching noir stories and found this wonderful piece. This is the first of your stories I've read. Will check others ... right after I go check my furniture - I, too, have my suspicions!

I dislike the "Noir" genre. I almost quit reading but i hit the description of the meal and i figured out some of what was coming and im glad I read on. great story.

I know you were going for tongue 'n cheek.

It was well done. Just not a fun read for me.

But, hey, ya can't win'em all and you're still batting 500 with me☺😊

My bitch did the same. She went to anyone for a pat (as if my pats weren't enough for her). She received pats from all the visitors to my place, both male and female (What a tart).

OH she was very careful about it. She would only approach others when I had my back turned but I knew. Yes I knew she was seeking pats from others.

Did I care. Well no because I loved the bitch. She was my girl and she knew it.

When I saw her getting pats from others I knew she would always return to me. God I miss her now she has gone.
