Really drama with a happy end?

I liked, but it had hoped to finally meet with Alan in a definitive way.

It is surprising that he would meet with the son of Alan at the end!

I was a bit disappointed at the end of the story but nobody can fault your storytelling the rise and fall of emotions throughout really very good , but the end I thought was not as well crafted. I suppose I was hoping for something the characters couldn't give.
