This is poor on so many levels. No character development, plot holes the size of that dark place in Calcutta with multitudinous coincidences filling them in and very poor research regarding the entire storyline.

The author has written many stories that are much, much better than this. This tale just comes across as lazy, racist, misogynistic drivel.

Shame about Judy, character was targeted, manipulated and abused simply because of her relation to the main character.

Thought about Judy's fate... and it still bugs me. I think that would be a death the husband would regret. Her parents asked him to save her. sure she was manipulated and brainwashed and he didn't need to take her back, but if she was programmed once, could have been reprogrammed.

It was revenge only for pride, Judy's death meant the father ultimate won by stealing her forever. Had he "saved" her, she could have been rehabilitated, returned to her parents and he could have nullified his father's victory.

Just what I got out of the story at least.

It is definitely your universe, it's easy to tell for two reasons.

1. In my universe, Fosters is not a popular beer in Australia. Carlton Draught is probably #1. Even Corona and Budweiser are more popular there than Fosters.

#2 In my universe there is a product called Primacord (one word), and it is an explosive. It is triggered by a blasting cap and detonated at a rate of approximately 23,000 feet per second.

I have some idea what role primer cord plays in your universe but since it's in your universe and obviously not Primacord a description of its properties would be appreciated.

Not the best story from this excellent author I've read. I couldn't get into the father's pure hatred of his son & wife, among other things he did to torment both. I was hoping that he'd save Judy as she realized what she "fell" into. But I could also see her ex not taking a chance that when she pleaded with him was nothing more than an act. >> The story was overwhelmingly surreal- definitely SB's universe, as he says. 3 stars. That took a whole new meaning to betrayal and the revenge aspect was good as well though it should have been a hell of lot worse than that I know it would have been if it was me however how the wife just up and chose to go with him yeah that was a little too far fetched and suddenly getting her to believe the bullshit that was fed without much of a problem and deep root it that much was definitely too far fetched the way she went along with it and so forth that easy already said she never loved him and was already being unfaithful to him and also clearly shows she's not in her right mind she definitely had some serve mental health issues going on but unfortunately those issues not being addressed hurt the story though it was a good plot for a non loving wife story this should have never been posted in this category and definitely doesn't fit even in the norm for the category
