Sheera gets Lucy out while Warder takes over from Hadren and starts to lead the mountain???? Oooooh. I can’t wait. And at the same time, the islanders all hate her for what she is and what she has become? And she represents their dead people. At least that is what I think. Now I am dying to read The next chapter.

This is truly excellent work. It bridges non-con and non human in an entirely new setting.

I still think that the mountain people are stupid for not sharing the reason for their danger with the islanders, but then again, this means that you've captured my imagination, and that is a testament to your gift.

The wait was worth it! Everything feels like it's falling into the wrong place. Will Warder be okay? Will Lucy feel the bond "ache" when she leaves? The suspense is killing me.

Holy crap and excuse my swearing. I have read a lot of books through out my life but this story holy Jesus is amazing. Thank my lucky stars I found this story by chance today because I couldn’t stop reading it. Please never stop!!!!!

... That's kind of depressing. How will Lucy ever know any positive feelings about Warder to be her own? How credible does that make Lucy's character development?

The bond makes Ysabel imagine herself to love Hadren and want to be in his good graces even though he tortures her and clearly doesn't love her back. Ysabel can't leave as in: she isn't able to due to the binding nature of the bond.

Of course that's all according to Ysabel herself and she's lost most of her marbles. I hope there's some measure of balance to the mating bond yet. It doesn't block negative feelings altogether, that's something. It would certainly seem Warder wants more than a simple puppet on a string.

Thanks for inspiring these thoughts with your wonderful imaginative writing. I love it and hope you'll get the sequel published quickly. Not so fond of cliffhangers, I must admit. Cliffhangers are, when all is said and done, just unfinished stories.

I love this series a lot, but I read erotica for both plot and arousal. I would suggest that at least once in each chapter, you find a way for your characters to get sexual with each other. I was very turned on during the other chapters. I was happy to see another chapter to this story, and the story progressed a lot. But disappointed in that I didn't get sexually aroused by this chapter. Still love the characters, especially Warder.

One of the most frustrating things about Literotica is the authors pulling in a bunch of devoted fans and then leaving them hanging. It's very discouraging. I can understand the drive to start a new story, but at least finish the one already in progress

I agree that this is a good story, and I am looking forward to the next chapter too. That said, saying mean things to the author is pretty counterproductive. Life is messy and perhaps this author has other things to work on besides writing free stories. If you find that unfinished stories are too upsetting, then try buying a book as you're guaranteed that you will get to read the ending. As for me, I hope that the rest of this story gets posted at some point when the author is ready. It has an new and interesting storyline. Plus we have been left with such a big cliffhanger. Will Lucy and Warder ever open up to one another? Will he even survive? Will she run from the mountain? If she does will she be able to outrun Warder or his hold over her? How do they have powers?!?

I completely agree with Anonymous. Some of these comments are outrageous and completely uncalled for. I’m just as excited and anxious as everybody else for the next chapter to come out, but that doesn’t give you the right to say these horirble things to the author. She’s already updated saying she’s going to be finished with the next chapter and she’s obviously worked hard in order to give us a good story.

Oh, so many questions! The story is nothing I have read before, kudos for that! I love the originality and imagination that you have! Don't mind the comments that are rushing you - we all understand time flies in real life ;)

But if I could have a little request: please do not finish stories on a cliffhanger, if possible. I am usually not really too bothered to patiently follow an author and wait for the chapters, but cliffhangers can make a reader quite annoyed.

While I don't agree with insulting the author, I do admit that the wait is puzzling and frustrating, when the writing is complete and it's just editing to go. It has been more than a month since the last update saying that the chapter was almost finished... so what's the hold up?

I disagree with those that say the authors owe the readers nothing. This is a reciprocal relationship. The authors provide us with great stories for free and we provide them with hundreds of beta readers for free, and if they're lucky, an audience and paying customers when they decide to publish. When authors say they are going to post soon and don't, it's a betrayal of that relationship and a waste of all the time it took to read, comment and critique their works.

I still have faith that MariLeigh will return to complete this story but hope the wait is short from now on.

Also, this is my first post ever on this website in all the years I’ve been here but the very demanding and slightly entitled comments bothered me. People need to have more chill and appreciate that you wrote/are writing a really interesting and captivating story for them to enjoy.

It’s obvious that some comments are being made by those who probably have no life and who can only seem to respond to the lack of further story releases with excessive ignorance and negativity. But there are a number of comments which are (a little more realistically) simply expressing appreciation for what you Have had time / opportunity to share. Please be sure that there are a huge group of fans out here who will appreciate and anticipate whatever you choose to share... (although we ARE all anxiously waiting any new additions to your story ;)) and would strongly encourage you to looking into publishing your work.

I have been a fan since the beginning and can't wait for more! I like the new first chapter a lot, but can see how it might change the ending a bit. I was wondering if you could solve the problem of it fitting in with the story by giving all of the humans on the island amnesia (maybe Warder's people somehow did it?) so that they could rule the island without any interference.

Please, please continue! You said in a previous note that you knew the pain of an unfinished story, yet here we are. You also stated in the beginning of this chapter that you had more already written, so at the very least, please, PLEASE post that! You have me hooked, and the story is just getting really interesting! Please continue!

sad. On another note: I must say that trying to get things published and sold is hard af. Many lit writers have tried. None that I know of has been truly successful. Likely because the stories here aren't mainstream enough.
