I didn't get to INSINUATE. I left when she said, "We have to talk."
"we have to talk," in my part of the world is a break-up phrase, not an invitation. At the point you introduce this statement, there's no foreshadowing that there's been a relationship to end. That hurts your story from the get-go.
Did you write a good story? No.
