Anon: You're absolutely right. The misstep came about because I conceived this scene when I still thought I could explore the entire bioroid concept through this one family. I was more concerned with exploring the limits of the bioroid than I was in a realistic depiction of a polyamorous household. I took Amanda too far and then handwaved it away too easily. However, during the proofreading of this I came up with a follow-up scene for somewhere down the line that revisits this and explores it a little better.
