I really enjoyed this story. You said in a note at the beginning that the end may not be that romantic but what could be more romantic than a man and woman still so in love after 28+ years that their daughter could see it. Thanks for sharing.

but the contrast between the single status of your bio and the depth of love expressed in your story seems to call for a story from your personal life (and, perhaps, this was).

Excellent story. All through the last page, I expected a tragedy. Instead, you ended with positive love and anticipation.

Also, your spelling, grammar and writing are correct and comfortable.
